Changing Guarantor in EHR

Users can update a patient's guarantor within the EHR under the Guarantor tab by clicking 'Change Patient's Guarantor'. 

Next, choose either 'Add New Guarantor' or 'Search for a Guarantor'

Add New Guarantor:

When clicked the data on the Guarantor tab will be removed and the new information can be entered. Once all data is entered click Save to save the new Guarantor account.

Search for a Guarantor:

Search for the existing guarantor and then click 'Select' next to the correct guarantor account.

The Referral Response Status will now be displayed in the Chart Tree along with the Auth Status and comments.

Preview Values on Physical Exam and Review of Systems

A 'Patient History' tab has been added to the Physical Exam and Review of System controls. Listed will be the patient's past field information including the date the value was added and the provider seen. Users can check the value, click 'Save and Close' and the data will be added to the note. Once added, the blue box then becomes a textbox allowing the user to edit the information.

Auto-Save while using the print buttons on the Log Immunization screen

Upon printing handouts or reports from the Log Immunization page, an immediate Save will occur to avoid the possibility of leaving the screen and forgetting to return and hit Save.

Changing Blue Boxes to Textboxes - ROS and PE

Users can turn the Review of Systems and Physical Exam blue boxes into text boxes. 

A new 'lock' icon now shows next to the controls. The user can use the ROS or Physical Exam control in its normal fashion by selecting a template or opening the blue box and making their selections, then once they are done they can click the lock icon to change the field into a textbox allowing them to type in the field. 

The user does have the option to turn the field back into a blue box, but this will remove any formatting or changes done when the field was a text box.

Enhancements on Incoming Faxes

When using the TriMed faxing for incoming faxes, the system now can link a sender name to a fax number so that as faxes come in, the user will always see the sender name. 

When faxes are received and viewed on the Preview screen in DM Web there is a Sender Name field. Users can click Edit and update the sender name for the fax number. 

Then, back on the DM Web tab, anytime a fax comes in from that fax number the Sender name will be shown. 


Additionally, when the data on the Preview tab (Document Type, Category, Document Name and Description) are added for a specific sender and additional faxes come in then the system will default the fields for the user. If there are additional data points entered for faxes from the sender they will be shown in a dropdown.

Within the chart, the Sender will be shown on the document, and any ICDs added previously for the sender will display in a dropdown for users to quickly link to the document.

Policy ID Check on Insurance

When a user is entering an insurance plan and the policy ID is the same as another active plan, the system will show a pop-up warning the user.

Patient Portal Messages

Inside TriMed Patient Portal, the Messaging module has received an upgrade. The back-and-forth messages between the patient and the practice are now displayed in chat-bubble format with the patient messages on the right and the practice responses on the left.

Once an EHR user marks a portal thread as "Completed" the patient will see a message on the bottom of the screen stating: “This message has been marked completed by the practice. If further communication is needed please send a new message.”
