When creating a superbill the system will now check the patient's Financial Class and/or Insurance Plan and see if any modifiers exist on the alternate CPT code. If so, the system will add those modifiers to the Superbill.
Within the Referrals chart item if a user clicks in the To field to send a Direct Mail to another provider the system will display any direct email addresses the practices has previously sent to. Users can then type to filter the list. Clicking the Search option will display entries in the HIE Directory.
Within the Chart Item widget type users now have the ability to exclude items if open notifications exists.
For example when a user takes a patient phone note for the provider most clients typically also send a notification to the provider to alert them. This can be confusing to the provider to see both the phone note and the notification in their widgets.
Now, within the Chart Items Widget Type there is a setting for 'Exclude items if open notifications exists'.
When enabled, and an open notification exists the chart item will not show in the widget until the notification is marked Complete.
Changes have been made to the Classic Review tab to make it easier to manage for clients using the Role or Company Preferences feature within TriMed Complete.
When using the non-appointment superbill option the system will now use the date of the chart item it is created from as the Superbill date.
There are times when users struggle with understanding why notifications are still showing as due when they have signed off on an item. We currently have logic where if a chart item is opened from the notification and the chart item is signed then the notification will be completed automatically.
Now, if a notification was created manually and NOT through a Notification rule then upon Sign the system will automatically complete any open, manually created notifications.
If a notification is sent AFTER the chart item is signed then the notification would remain open. For example if a provider writes a prescription and wants the nurse team to call the patient and let them know it has been sent, then the provider would sign & eSend the prescription and then send the notification.
If a user is using the Quick Pick notifications and select the Sign Item option, then the system will sign the chart item before sending the notification
When using the New Patient option within Chart Find the Guarantor DOB is no longer required when searching for accounts.
When adding a new Chart Item to a patient chart the system defaults the Provider dropdown based on the following criteria:
1. If the logged in user is a provider then that provider name will be selected as the provider on the chart item except when adding the chart item from a blue box. In this scenario the system will respect the provider on the note.
2. If the logged in user is not a provider and if that patient has an appointment on the same day then the provider dropdown on the new chart item will be set to the provider name that is on the appointment.
3. If the patient does not have an appointment on the same day the system will check for an appointment according to the User Preference 'Default Appt Within Days'. If the system finds an appointment within the allotted days, it will use the provider name on that appointment.
4. If the patient does not have an appointment within the allotted days than the provider on the new chart item will be set to the provider selected within Patient Registration.
