There are scenarios in which a practice may need to group two vaccines together without identifying them as equivalent. An example of this is RotaTeq and Rotarix or Menactra and MenQuadfi.
There are a few tips and tricks while setting up this scenario in TriMed Complete.
The Contact control on a patient form allows patients to add people to their contacts list in patient registration. Now a practice has the ability to make the control a family or patient control.
When set to 'Family' the system will add the contact from the patient form to All Members, while when set to 'Patient' the system will add the contact to just the patient the form was sent to.
When doing a split visit (seeing a patient for both a preventative and acute issue on the same day) a 25 modifier is required on the E&M code. We have now made this easier by allowing users to include a 25 modifier on the E&M Controller.
Users can now use acronyms (setup in Lookup Lists) on results making it quicker for clinicians to give direction or statements when viewing results.
A picture is worth a thousand words, and sometimes a picture is needed to communicate an issue. Now with Note Images a picture can be added to a note quickly and easily. With the new Note Image control, a user can take a picture or upload a picture file right to the note. A new tab will be added to the note and where the picture (or pictures if more than one is needed) can be viewed.
When entering the Physical Exam on a note template, it can be easy for users to click the boxes, enter in findings, etc. However, it is most difficult to get the output in an easy to read format on the Word Merge to send to another practice. TriMed Complete introduces a new Physical Exam control that will take up much less space on a template, is easy to use, and exports in an easy-to-read format.

When entering the Review of Systems on a note template, it can be easy for the user to click the boxes related to the patient’s symptoms. However, it can be difficult for the next user to read through the systems and is even more difficult to get the output correct on the Word Merge to send to another practice. TriMed Complete introduces a Review of Systems control that will still allow the user to easily select the symptoms, but is now even easier to use and more visually appealing.
Practices have the ability to hide combination vaccine names from appearing on Patient Immunization Reports. Go to Admin > System Setup > Global Settings and select the checkbox for "Suppress Combo vaccines on immun Reports".
Now when printing Immunization Reports from the Advanced Immunization module only the individual component names will appear on the reports.
The "Sign All and Complete" options on a Note are a favorite feature for many of our providers. But there are certain chart items that various practices may wish to exclude from this action.
The latest addition to this exclusion list is the "Results" chart item. With this change, Results will default to be excluded with the option to include Results by going to Admin > System Setup > Sign Setup.
