TriMed Forms App

If a patient has not filled out forms during the Check-In process and arrives at the practice, the EHR user has to select the forms within the Check-In page and push them to a registered device. TriMed now offers a new app in the iOS App Store called ‘TriMed Forms.’ This app helps facilitate patient forms quickly and easily using QR codes or Tokens. The app can be used for patients with or without appointments.

The EHR has a new chart item called ‘New Appointment Form.’ This item can be used to submit patient forms whether the patient has an appointment or not.

Primary Notes: Auto Set Note Date to Appt Date

When using a Primary Note, if the date of the Primary Note does not match the appointment date in the dropdown, the note date will be updated to match the appointment date upon saving.

This can be helpful if users like to pre-chart and open their patient notes the day before.

Lock Screen Banner

In some practices, computers are stationed in exam rooms, and patients see the lock screen of the EHR when the nurse or provider is not in the room. These screens could be utilized to display important information and updates for patients to read while waiting.

Creating Alternate Formats on Immunizations ***Updated***

Here are a few tips and tricks for setting up this scenario in TriMed Complete.

ASQ-3 Best Practices

The ASQ-3 (Ages and Stages Questionnaires, Third Edition) is a validated developmental screen for children aged one month through 5.5 years. The screening utilizes the parent’s/guardian’s observations and knowledge of the child. It is meant to be completed at home, while in the waiting room, or as part of a preventative care visit. Developmental surveillance or screening is recommended at almost every well visit by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

The ASQ-3 screens for possible delays in multiple developmental categories: Communication, Gross Motor, Fine Motor, Problem Solving, and Personal-Social. Once scored, the ASQ-3 flags children who require a referral for further evaluation and children who should be monitored with close follow-up. This can be accomplished within our system as part of a smooth workflow, incorporated into the well-visit appointment.
