Result Linker Widget

A new widget for Result Linker has been added to remind users of results that did not auto-link to the order. The results still need to be worked from the Result Linker menu in Tools, but this widget can help users to know that results are outstanding. 

Within the Orders Widget Type under the Orders dropdown is a new option called Result Linker. The widget will display the Patient Name, Ordered Tests, Obs Date and Provider. The widget will display the Patient Name, Ordered Tests, Obs Date and Provider.

Patient Meds on Rx Writer Page

On the Prescription Writer screen a new dropdown has been added where when clicked the user can view the patients Current and Historical medications. Clicking on a med will automatically pull it in as a refill.

Fax Page Limit

Within Global Settings under General Chart Settings a new Fax Page Limit setting has been added. By default this is set to 30 pages, but can be adjusted by the practice. 

NOTE: On average is takes 1 minute for the recipient to receive 1 page of a fax so a 30 page fax would tie up the recipients fax line for 30 minutes. TriMed would strongly suggest using other means to send large files such as Secure Email. For more information please reach out to TriMed Support.

PDF eSign

TriMed Complete and Patient Portal can now be used to capture patient and provider eSignatures on forms and documents. PDF documents can be designed to capture multiple signature fields which can be completed by a patient in the Patient Portal or a provider in the EHR.

Disable Online Booking for Same Day Appointments

A practice can now prohibit patients from booking same day appointments online. To do so a new setting has been added under PPAdmin > Appointments > Miscellaneous called 'Do not allow booking within max days from current date'. 

If left blank there will be no date restriction. If 0 is entered patients will be prevented from booking appointments on the same day. If 1 is entered patients will not be able to book appointments for same day or the next day.

Encounter Tasks

Practices often want to ensure that specific tasks are completed before a patient leaves the office. To handle this situation, Encounter Tasks can be automatically or manually created and linked to a patient appointment. While Encounter Tasks are still assigned to a team or a user, since they’re associated with the visit, everyone at the practice can make sure these tasks are completed prior to a patient’s discharge.

Superbill Tab on Notes

Oftentimes it is helpful for a clinician to see the superbill while building the progress note. TriMed Complete now has the option to include a Superbill tab on their Primary notes where the user can preview the Superbill from the Note even prior to completing the note.

Adding SubNotes

Adding a subnote to a note just got easier! 

At the top of the note is a subnote icon. Clicking the icon brings up a menu where the user can see all SubNotes categorized by Template Type. The list defaults to show All, but can be filtered using the Template Type dropdown. 

Click Add next to the applicable subnote then click in the place on the template where the subnote should drop. Next, the subnote will open in a pop up where the user can begin typing in the information as the system works in the background to add the field to the note. Once data entry is complete, click Save and Close which closes the pop-up and show the entered data in the note template.

MFA for Email

MFA can now be enabled even if a user does not have a cell phone number entered into the EHR. When an email is entered into User Admin, and there is no cell phone listed, and Enable MFA is checked the user will receive a code to their email.
