A new Referral Appt Date field has been added to the Referral chart item.
New options for No Show Correspondence and Visits Due Correspondence have been added under Inquiry > Communications.
The communications grid displays the date and time of the communication, communication type (Email, Text, or Portal Message), message content, recipient (email address, phone number, or Portal Manager), the staff user who sent the communication, and whether the message failed to send for any reason.
Double-clicking a row opens the message details. If a communication was sent via both email and text, double-clicking the row displays the email message only.
A new 'Disposition' feature has been added to Quick Notes to improve visibility and tracking.
This new feature addresses situations where Quick Notes remain open while users wait for follow-ups or additional information. By providing clearer status handling, it helps reduce confusion, allows users to quickly understand the current state at a glance, and improves overall workflow efficiency.
Admin
TriMed has introduced a new Lookup List Item page named 'Quick Note Disposition.' Users can access this page by going to Admin > System Setup > Lookup Lists and selecting Quick Note Disposition.
Item: Enter the name of the Quick Note Disposition item.
Desc: Enter the description of the Quick Note Disposition item.
Active: Check the box to indicate that the Quick Note Disposition item is active.
All Quick Note Disposition items are displayed in the left-side grid.
Feature
When a new Quick Note chart item is created on a patient’s chart, the 'Set Disposition' field is displayed directly on the Quick Note. All active items from the Quick Note Disposition lookup list appear in the dropdown, along with 'Custom' and 'Clear' options. When users select 'Custom,' an additional text box will appear next to the field, allowing a custom disposition to be entered.
When a disposition is selected and saved, the disposition value and selected date/time are displayed next to the 'Set Disposition' field. The update is also reflected in the chart tree and the Chart Items widget.
When users select 'Clear' in Set Disposition and save the Quick Note, the disposition value and associated date/time are removed from the chart item, and the update is reflected in both the chart tree and the Chart Items widget.
Some patients prefer not to have their data shared with registries or other third parties with which a practice may participate. To support this, a new option, 'Never include in Data Export,' has been added to Patient Registration.
When selected, the patient’s data will be excluded from third-party data exports. This setting is also visible in the patient chart under the 'Demog-OtherInfo' widget, making it easy for staff to view a patient’s data-sharing preference.
A 'Sort Order' option has been added to Admin > Document Manager > DM Template screen.
Clicking 'Sort Order' opens the 'Document Manager Template Sort Order' window, where all templates appear in ascending order by default. Users can easily move templates up or down using the arrows, then click 'Save' to keep the new order.
Templates are now displayed according to the admin-defined sort order on the Upload Document, Saved Document Chart Item, and DM Web Preview pages.
The insurance plan's effective beginning date is now displayed alongside the insurance name on all Activity pages. If the effective date is more than 365 days old, it will be highlighted in red to help quickly identify potentially outdated insurance information.
Quick Rx has been enhanced with a new History icon (H) that provides direct access to medication details and history. The 'H' icon appears on signed medications and includes a tooltip, 'Click here to view Preview/Hx.' Clicking the icon opens the medication in the 'Preview/Hx' tab by default.
Medication history tracking has also been updated to include 'Renewed' and 'Continued' actions. The 'Status' column now displays 'Stopped,' 'Continued,' and 'Renewal Received,' along with the associated dates (MM/DD/YYYY).
In addition, the Renew Date and Stopped indicators are now consistently displayed in both ManageMeds Basic and Advanced views, ensuring accurate, unified medication status visibility.
TriMed introduces a new option for managing Vaccine Information Statements (VIS) to help practices stay current with minimal effort. A new selection, 'TriMed Complete Standard,' is now available within Immunization Admin. When selected, VIS fields are simplified to a dropdown that allows users to choose the appropriate VIS type and date from a TriMed-maintained list of standardized VIS documents. While TriMed manages and updates the available VIS documents, practices remain in control of selecting the appropriate VIS for each vaccine.
The EHR now shows the sender’s username (FirstName LastName) next to the date and time for text and email messages everywhere timestamps appear, making it easier to identify who sent each message at a glance.
A new Show Specimen option and specimen dropdown have been added, allowing practices to replace free-text specimen entry with a standardized list.
To configure this feature, go to EHR Admin → Orders → Test Codes. A new 'Show Source' checkbox is now available, along with a Source field and down arrow for adding selectable values. A 'Source Associated with Test' section displays all configured source options for that test.
Source: Enter the desired source text, then click the down arrow to add it as a new entry. Each entry supports up to 50 characters.
Source Associated with Test: This section lists all added source values. Each value will appear as an option in the specimen dropdown within the Lab Order UI.
When this feature is enabled, and a user adds a test code to a patient record, the system will automatically default the specimen dropdown if only one Specimen Source exists. If multiple sources are available, the user can select from the dropdown list.
