Weight Gain Velocity Z-Scores

We’ve enhanced pediatric growth charting by introducing Weight Gain Velocity Z-Scores, providing clinicians with additional insight into a child’s rate of weight gain during the first two years of life. While traditional growth charts remain valuable for tracking overall growth patterns, this enhancement adds standardized WHO-based velocity metrics that help clinicians evaluate growth trends between visits and monitor developmental progress more closely.

When enabled in the Growth Chart settings, Velocity Z-Score (Vel Z-score) and Velocity Percentile (Vel Pct) are displayed directly within growth chart tooltips, offering a quick view of weight gain velocity alongside existing growth data. Color-coded indicators help users quickly interpret results, while calculations are automatically applied when appropriate based on patient age and visit intervals. This enhancement provides a more detailed view of early childhood growth patterns and supports informed clinical decision-making during critical developmental stages.

Customizing Physical Exam Template Defaults

We’ve introduced Physical Exam Default Configuration to give providers more flexibility in how physical exam findings are documented. This enhancement allows providers to choose whether to use predefined default exam findings, customize those defaults to better match their preferences, or opt out so that only findings specifically documented during the visit are included.

By supporting different documentation styles, this feature helps create a more personalized and efficient workflow for clinical note entry. The result is a more adaptable approach to physical exam documentation that can better align with individual provider preferences while supporting consistent and streamlined charting.

Published Forms

We’ve introduced Published Forms, a new way to securely distribute and collect forms from external participants such as parents, caregivers, teachers, and other non-clinical contacts. Practices can now send forms electronically through email or text message on the info tab of the form, allowing recipients to complete and submit forms through a secure link that automatically returns the completed information directly to the patient chart.

Published Forms help streamline workflows by reducing manual distribution, collection, and upload processes while improving visibility into outstanding forms. Non-submitted forms are tracked within the patient chart, and completed forms are automatically linked to the patient record upon submission. Additional security measures, including date-of-birth verification and configurable link expiration settings, help protect patient information while maintaining a convenient user experience. This enhancement can be selected in Admin>Patient Forms>Patient Forms under the more settings area and supports faster turnaround times, improved documentation organization, and a more efficient process for managing externally completed forms.

Problem List – Save to Family History for Siblings

A new Save to Family History option has been added when creating a Problem List item for patients who have sibling relationships configured in the system.

What’s New

  • Added a Save to Family History option under the Save menu when adding a Problem List item.
  • The option is available when the patient has one or more siblings associated with their record.

Behavior

* Selecting Save to Family History opens a pop-up window where users can choose which family members should receive the diagnosis in their Family History.

* The Relationship field automatically defaults to Sibling.

* Once saved, the selected Problem List item is added to the Family History section of the chosen sibling’s chart.

This enhancement streamlines documentation by allowing users to quickly add relevant family history information across related patient records.

Audio Scribe Add "Preventative Visit" Checkbox

We’ve enhanced the Audio Scribe workflow by adding a new Preventative Visit checkbox directly within the recording pop-up. This gives providers a quick and convenient way to identify a visit as preventative at the time documentation begins, without needing to navigate through additional selections later in the workflow.

This enhancement is especially helpful in workflows where visit type may not always be determined in advance or can vary during the encounter. By allowing providers to designate preventative visits on the fly from the Audio Scribe start screen, the documentation process becomes more streamlined and flexible while supporting more efficient visit setup and note generation.

Disclosure History in Chart Maintenance

We’ve enhanced Disclosure History within Chart Maintenance to provide more detailed visibility into patient information disclosures. Instead of only recording that a chart print or export occurred, the system now captures the specific chart components that were included, helping staff more easily review and track disclosure activity.

Disclosure History entries can now include details such as patient notes, documents, insurance cards, medications, and selected date ranges used during the export process. To improve usability, summary labels are used for larger categories while still maintaining meaningful detail. Users can also manually add disclosure tracking entries directly from the Disclosure History tab using the new Track Disclosure option. These enhancements provide a clearer, more comprehensive audit trail and make it easier for staff to report and review disclosure activity directly within the patient chart.

Note Dictation

We’ve introduced Note Dictation to provide a more flexible and efficient way for providers to document patient encounters in a single step. This feature allows users to record one comprehensive dictation before, during, or after a visit, making it easier to capture complete clinical context without needing to move through multiple note sections manually.

Using AI-powered structuring, the system organizes the dictated content into the appropriate areas of the clinical note, helping reduce manual data entry and support more natural documentation workflows. This enhancement allows providers to document more efficiently while maintaining accurate, thorough records and keeping greater focus on patient care.

DM Web/Textract AI Updates

We’ve enhanced DM Web to streamline document processing with AI-powered summarization and automated tagging capabilities. Incoming faxes and documents can now generate a short summary to help users quickly understand the contents, while the system can also automatically identify the patient, assign the document type, and mark the item as Ready for upload to the patient chart.

When a document is marked Ready, users can upload it directly to the patient chart by selecting the document row and clicking Upload Tagged Files. This process can also be completed in bulk for multiple documents at once, supporting a more efficient workflow for high-volume document management. Practices can choose to enable summarization, auto upload preparation, or both through System Setup > Lookup Lists > Document Types, using the Textract dropdown to configure preferences. The standard preference for the user will also need to be turned on. *There may be an additional fees for this feature.

Quick Note Disposition

We’ve added Quick Note Disposition to improve visibility and tracking for Quick Notes that may remain open while awaiting follow-up or additional information. Users can now assign a disposition directly on the Quick Note, making it easier to understand the current status at a glance from the note, chart tree, and Chart Items widget.

Disposition options are managed under Admin > System Setup > Lookup Lists > Quick Note Disposition, where practices can create active disposition items with names and descriptions. When creating or updating a Quick Note, users can select an active disposition, enter a custom value, or clear an existing disposition. Once saved, the selected disposition and date/time are displayed with the Quick Note and reflected throughout the chart for improved workflow visibility.
