Growth Charts on Portal

Patients can now view their Growth Charts on the Portal!

Admin

Within the Patient Portal Admin > My Records > General, we have added a new ‘Growth Chart’ setting. Administrators must enable this setting to allow portal users to access their Growth Chart.

The Growth Chart graph is generated based on Patient Portal Admin > My Records > Growth Chart settings. These are some of the same settings found on a user level for EHR Growth Charts.

Features

On the Patient Portal, click the ‘Records’ module. If the portal account has multiple patients, click the 'View' button on a specific patient.

Patients can also click the print icon to print the Growth Chart in PDF format.

Notes:

  1. If the patient's current age does not have growth plot values, the system will display the previously available plot values, such as those for Child, Infant, or Newborn.
  2. Down Syndrome patients’ Growth Charts are also supported and printed in the portal.

Multiple Credit Cards on File

Users can now add credit cards on file on the 'Guarantor' tab within Patient Details. They will check 'Authorize' to add or update the family's primary credit card.

A popup will appear where the user enters the credit card details and clicks 'Submit.'

Once the primary card details are saved, the system displays the card info under the ‘Primary Credit Card Information’ header. Users can add more cards using the ‘Add Credit Card(s)' button.

Cards can be removed at any time by clicking 'Remove' or clicking the order icon to change the order of cards on file and change the primary card.

Consent from Patient on PBM History

When accessing the PBM History screen, users will see a 'Consent was obtained from patient (Parent/Guardian for minors) to retrieve patient PBM History' popup, where they can click 'OK' to confirm and 'Continue' to get the patient PBM History.

This change will save users a few clicks. Rather than opening the PBM History screen, checking the 'Consent' box, clicking 'Get PBM file For Import,' and waiting for the page to load, users can now click 'OK' from the popup, and the page will load with the data.

If the user clicks 'Cancel' on the alert, the action will be canceled.

Appointment View When Multiple Appts on Same Day

When a patient has more than one appointment on the same day, we show a dropdown with the appointments in the chart to the left of the appointment status. The status will reflect the selected appointment. Users can choose another appointment from the dropdown to view/change that status.

How it Works:

  • If the user opens the patient from the schedule, the appointment dropdown will default to that appointment.
  • If the user opens the patient from an item within a widget and that item is linked to an appointment on that day, then that appointment will default in the dropdown.
  • If the user opens a patient from an item within a widget and that item is not linked to an appointment, but the item provider matches the provider on an appointment, that appointment will default in the dropdown.
  • If none of the above conditions are met, the appointment will default to the closest current time.

Chart Print Documents Page Limit

Chart print does not allow a document to be included when that single document is 30 pages or more.

If a large document is included, it will be suppressed into a single document listing the Document Name and date and letting the end user know that it must be printed and sent separately.

Block Inbound SMS

Sometimes, clients receive spam texts within the system. TriMed now offers clients the ability to block inbound SMS from those numbers.

Within Inbound SMS or the Unread SMS Message widget, a 'Request Block' option has been added.

Administrators can manage blocked numbers within Admin > Auditing > Blocked Inbound SMS Management. Here, they can add additional numbers to the blocked list and remove numbers that may have accidentally been blocked. The username and date/time a number was blocked are also displayed on this screen.

Editable Charge Amount on Non-Encounter Charges

Within Non-Encounter charges, the system will default to the charge amount set in Procedure File Maintenance, but users can now edit the charge amount when necessary. This is helpful for practices that do not have a set fee for forms or spacers, as it can vary by patient/situation.

Do Not Default Patient on Book Appointment

A new preference has been added under Home/SysWidget > Schedule called 'Do Not Default Patient on Book Appointment.'

When enabled, when a user clicks either 'New Appointment' or right-clicks on a slot and clicks 'Book,' the system does not insert a patient on the screen. Instead, the user must search for a patient each time they book an appointment.

Booking an appointment from a patient chart will still default the patient.
