Portal Errors

If a patient receives an error while trying to access their Patient Portal account there is now an easy way for a practice to troubleshoot the error. 

Within PPAdmin under Account > Common Portal Errors the Error Code the patient receives is listed along with what that error means.

Subnotes on Word Merges

When a subnote has a Word merge and that subnote is included on a note template, the subnote information will then generate onto the merge for the note template. However, there are scenarios when the information from the subnote is not necessary on the note merge. To handle this, there is now an option in Word Merge Admin on the note template 'Do not include merges from subnote'.

Patient Name on Check-In Face Sheet

A practice can now choose whether to allow patients to edit their name on the Face Sheet during the Check-In process. A new setting has been added to Check-In Admin under Patient/Guarantor.

Snooze Notifications

Users now have the ability to snooze notifications which hides them from the notification screen until the snooze time passes. 

Upon right click of a notification from either a widget or the notification tab there is a new option called Snooze. Hovering over this gives users many predefined options, as well as a custom option to choose their own date and time. 

When a notification is snoozed the count for Snoozed on the header will be updated. Clicking the Snoozed description will show the snoozed notifications within the list. They will be shown with an icon next to them indicated to the user their status.

When a notification is snoozed, it can be unsnoozed by right clicking on the notification, navigating to the Snooze fly out menu and selecting Unsnooze.

Preventative Coding Within E&M Control

The ability to code preventative visits has been added to the E&M tool and can be defaulted on the E&M control in Template Admin.

When Preventative is selected, the system will automatically select the appropriate preventative CPT code based on the patient's age and if they are a New or Established patient. The system also shows the next closest preventative code as an option. 

A History section is shown to the right of the control that displays the patient's preventative code history.

A practice can also choose to add up to 4 additional codes to the Preventative section by entering them in Global Settings Admin under 'Other Preventative Codes'.

Patient Form Order

On the Check-In tab when manually publishing forms for a patient to fill out, the user now has the ability to change the order of the forms. However, Transfer of Records and Facesheet order cannot be changed and will always be at the top. This can be helpful if there are forms the clinical staff needs to review before calling a patient back. In this scenario those forms would be moved to the top of the list giving the clinical staff time to review.

Patients With Visit Due

The Patients with Visit Due report shows the user which patients  are due for a specific visit, such as Preventative Visits. The report can be found under Admin> Decision Support> Patients with Visit Due.

Appointment Tasks

Appointment Prep Verify Notes can now be managed on a single page called Appointment Tasks. The Appointment Tasks page is a new addition to the Activity pages that previously included Check In, Check Out, Appointment Prep, and Registered Patients. The purpose of the Appointment Tasks page is to provide a single page to work the Appointment Prep Tasks or for a manager to quickly see what appointment tasks are outstanding for the day.

ICDs on Prescription Preferences

On a Prescription there are 2 checkboxes for ICDs: 'Include ICDs on Print/Esend' and 'Prompt for ICD on Print/Esend'. 

If an ICD has been added to a prescription and the 'Include ICDs on Print/Esend' preference is checked the the ICD will be included on the prescription. 

If the user wants to be prompted to add an ICD to a prescription they should check 'Prompt for ICD on Print/Esend'.

These preferences should only have the be checked once per user and the system will remember the settings selected.

Formulary Information on Prescriptions

Clinicians may begin to notice formulary information when prescribing meds. This information is dependent on the patient's insurance company publishing their data. If an alternate drug is available it will be listed in the dropdown menu. Clicking on an alternate will switch to that med being prescribed. The formulary information will also inform the user if a pre-authorization is required.
