Permissions to the Admin menu in the EHR have been expanded to allow practices to narrow down further what users have access to in the Admin menu.
The following menu options have been added: Activity Pages, Forms, Immunization/Injections, Document Manager, Vitals, Standard Preferences, Appointment, Aggregated Reporting, Practice Admin, and Mobile Admin.
When using the Check In app a practice now has the option to 'Disable sending arrival link'.
When checked the patient will no longer have an option to send themselves a follow up email and/or text and they no longer see the area highlighted in red.
TriMed Complete now gives each practice the option to view items deleted from a chart. By default, TriMed Complete will not show deleted chart items after they have been deleted. Practices wishing to view deleted chart items may turn on the ‘Chart Item Archive’ option. When an item is deleted it will still be removed from the chart. Users with permissions to view archived items can view them within the chart. As necessary, these items can even be restored to the patient’s chart.
The 'Enable Provider Timer' preference within Global Settings has been removed.
The system will now use the 'Show Provider Timer on Chart' user preference with the following logic:
1. If the user is a provider then the preference will default to be checked. The provider will see the Exam Timer: ## minutes at the top of the chart. Clicking the Exam Timer button will display the Encounter Timer audit.
2. If the preference is unchecked on the provider user they would no longer see the Exam timer at the top of the chart and the Auto Time option on the E&M Coder control will be disabled.
3. If the user is a non-provider the 'Show Provider Timer on Chart' preference will be unchecked by default and the user will not see the Encounter Timer at the top of the chart.
4. If the non-provider user enables the preference they will see the Start and End timer and will be able to manually use the timer.
When sending a patient a text or email asking them to upload a document users typically type in the same few messages. Instead of the user having to manually type in the message TriMed Complete now has the ability to add pre-defined messages under Lookup List > Document Upload Comments.
Then, when sending a Text/Email a dropdown is added next to the message field allowing the user to choose a pre-defined message.
The Template Word Merge documents have been removed from the New Merge chart item. The Template merges are only helpful when or if a patient actually has the template on their chart and the merge is needed. TriMed recommends generating the merge from the note template chart item.
Users still have the ability in Merge Document Admin to upload Template Word Merges which is an easier way to upload a merge that is linked to multiple templates instead of having to upload to each template separately.
There are time when certain lab values are considered critical or panic values. These values may constitute an immediate health risk to the patient or require immediate action from the provider.
Within Result Setup Admin a practice can add the Panic Range Min and Max values. Then, a pop up message can be added to alert the user on the front end.
When the result meets the panic range and is Opened, Saved, or Signed the user will see the pop up set up in Admin.
Additionally, a comment will be added on the Print View to say "The value for TestCode meets the criteria for panic values.
Patients now have the ability to upload a copy of their insurance card through the Check-In link. The patient will be asked to select their insurance card payor type which is set up in PPAdmin under New Patient Reg. > Ins Card Payor Type. The insurance card will then save as an insurance card chart item type in the patient's chart.
When viewing the ICD Summary there are certain statuses that are more significant than others.
Within Medical Summary Status a practice can rank the importance of the status by entering a numeric value in the Sort Order with 1 being the highest value.
Then, within a chart the ICD Summary Chart Header Widget and ICD Summary pop up will reflect the sort order set within Admin.
