Global Settings: Check Eligibility

Previously, there was a Global Setting to 'Default Eligibility Checking as Disabled.'

Now, there is a dropdown with three choices:

Always Remember: This is a persistent setting. The ‘Check Eligibility’ checkbox defaults to being checked when the user previously checks the eligibility checkbox during appointment booking. Conversely, the ‘Check Eligibility’ checkbox defaults to being unchecked when the user previously unchecks the eligibility checkbox during appointment booking.

Never Set: On the ‘Never Set’ option, the ‘Check Eligibility’ checkbox on both the ‘Book Appointment’ and the ‘New Appointment Work List’ pages will always default to unchecked.

Use Calendar Logic: On the ‘Use Calendar Logic,’ if the user tries to book an appointment for the patient and the patient’s insurance eligibility has already been checked for this calendar month, the ‘Check Eligibility’ checkbox defaults to unchecked. If the user tries to book an appointment for a patient and the patient's insurance eligibility has not been checked for this calendar month, the ‘Check Eligibility’ checkbox defaults to checked.

Prepayment on Check-In

The Prepayment option allows patients to pay for their appointment during check-in when their Visit Type and Financial Class don't follow the usual copay rules.

Within Check-In Admin > Site Setup > Non-Preventative Prepay, a practice can configure the visit type, set single or multiple financial classes, define the prepayment amount, and add a message to the Non-Preventative Prepay setup rule.

During the check-in process, when a patient reaches the payment screen, the system will display a ‘Prepayment’ option and the pre-entered amount set up in Check-In admin.

In EHR, the system will display a ‘Prepayment’ option, and the pre-entered amount will be configured in Check-In admin on both the insurance header and the payment pages.

Default Unit Type on Head Circ. and Height Vital Fields

The Height and Head Circ. vital fields can now default to the unit of measure on the note control. This is helpful when a practice records a vital in one measurement but prefers to save the data in another unit of measure.

Pharmacy Indication on Process Prescription Screen

On the Process Prescription page, the system will show the pharmacy rank the patient's pharmacy is in. For example, if the nurse tells the provider the parent wants to use their second pharmacy, they'll know what to select from the processing screen.

Patients with Visit Due

The ‘Patients with Visit Due’ module is used to create customized reports for tracking patient-due visits. This module identifies overdue visits and manages scheduling. It also ensures compliance with preventive care guidelines by allowing users to filter and generate detailed reports based on visit dates and codes.

Medical History Controls on SubNote Merge

Typically, the Medical History controls are included on every note, allowing providers to review the patient's information, but this information does not usually change from visit to visit.

The Medical Summary controls can now be used in SubNote Merge to save space on a note, similar to how many clients have Birth History on their younger Well Check templates.

Admin

Start by creating a Subnote Template.

Then, on the Note Template, create a blue box that is linked to the Medical History Subnote.

Features

On the Patient Note, users can view the medical history information in the blue box and modify it by clicking the blue box to open the Subnote.

Note: To prevent items marked as Confidential from showing on a Word merge, the data will not show in the blue box but instead will show, 'Some items may have been excluded from the view.'The user must click and open the blue box to see the confidential chart items.
