Prescriptions: Templates and Writing Prescriptions

Here, we will review how to add and manage a user’s prescription templates, look at the most common ways to write prescriptions, and share some tips to make the process as smooth as possible.

Prescription Dosing Calculator

Writing prescriptions is a complex task. Many factors must be considered. Calculating drug dosages can be time-consuming, especially for pediatric patients. Researching the correct dose for the indication, age, and other patient factors takes time. Searching for a calculator (a physical calculator or using an app on a phone or computer) is another additional step. The final step of correctly calculating can be complicated, especially for liquids or suspensions. TriMed Complete’s Dosage Calculator feature streamlines this for the provider, making the process quicker and easier.

Insurance on Patient Card

The Insurance Icon on a patient chart now has a number indicator if the patient has more than one insurance. 

Then, when clicking the patient name, users can see the insurance details for all ranks on the patient header.

RCM Admin

Based on Role Permissions, users now have access to some of the File Maintenance menus in the EHR that were previously only accessible in the PM.

Widgets Default to 60 Days With Option to 'Show All'

By default, all home page widgets show data from the past 60 days. Users can click the 'Show All' button to load all widget data for the selected tab.

'Require Cancellation Reason' on Patient Portal Booking

A new PPAdmin option has been added, allowing practices to require a patient to add a cancellation reason when canceling an appointment.

PM Enhancements V22.2.09

Patient Eligibility/Eligibility Workscreen: The Patient Eligibility screen now has a column that will pull out the IPA information available if it is provided in the eligibility response file. This information is also available in the Patient Eligibility Workscreen.

Real-Time Eligibility Check (Verification): If the patient has an upcoming appointment, the default selected provider will be based on the provider on that appointment.

Remit: If the remit returns an OA-137 adjustment, this amount will now be written off in the remit.

Charge Tickets in EHR

Practices can now upload Charge Tickets in the EHR and pull the Charge Ticket number onto the merge before the patient’s arrival.
