Check In Option Changes

Clients now have the ability to customize the Message on the Check In Process Complete page. If a custom message is not entered the messages will be defaulted with the messages in screenshot #2.

Clients also have the ability to Hide Arrival URL. When this is enabled the arrival URL will not be included in the email and/or text. The system will also hide the 'Note: The link send...' message on the Check In page.

Clients can now also customize their Check-In Arrival Email.

Sign Complete All - Orders

On Order Sets, there is a dropdown that determines what action occurs upon clicking the 'Place Order' button on an Order.

These include:
  • Save & Sign
  • Just Save
  • Save & Mark Assistant

Previously, orders that are set to 'Save & Mark Assistant' would be skipped when a Sign All action is taken on a note.

A change has been made to no longer look at this setting when determining whether or not an order should be skipped during a Sign All.
Instead, this will be set up in Admin > System Setup > Sign Setup:

Result Changes

There are times when a clinician will place an order for multiple test codes and the results do not always come in at the same time. A checkbox ‘Require manual reconciliation if more than 1 test code on the order set’ has been added. When this is checked a result will not automatically be marked as Result Received and will have to be manually checked by a user. This will allow the order to stay in the Orders Without Results widget even when a result is linked.

A user can manually check the ‘Results Received’ checkbox on the Order tab of the Order or by right clicking on the item in the chart tree and selecting ‘Mark Results Received’.

By default until an order is marked Results Received it will show in the chart in green font for 60 days. Once the flag is set to Results Received  the order will show in black. If a practice wishes the order to show in green longer, there is a Global Setting allowing a practice to show orders in green longer than their desired amount of days.

This information has also been updated in the Order Sets: Result Types feature brief.

Patient Details Widget

Recently the Patient Contact Info widget was updated to just include the pharmacy info and renamed Pharmacies. This was done because the patient demographics can be found in the Patient Contact Card and the Guarantor Info widget.

We have now updated the Patient Details widget to include the patient's Address, Cell and Email Address so that the Pharmacies can still be a separate widget, but clients can continue to see the patient's demographics on the screen when not using the Guarantor Info widget.

Friendly Name on Pharmacy

Within Pharmacies Admin a practice can now add a Friendly Name to make it easier to identify to the end user. For example most users do not recognize a pharmacy by their pharmacy number but may know it by the road it is on.

When viewing the pharmacy within the chart the user will see both the Pharmacy Name and Pharmacy Friendly Name:
