Encounter Summary

The Encounter Summary is a quick view of what was recorded during a patient visit. This summary view offers the ability to see a snapshot of an encounter and eliminates extra fields and text that are not beneficial to see after a visit has been completed. Encounter Summaries are great to have when reviewing past encounters.

BMIRangeICD

For the BMIRangeICD function the system will determine based on the patient's age which is the appropriate ICD-10 code to use.

For patient's between ages 2 and 19 years old the system calculates the ICD based on the Pediatric BMI Percentile Range. For patient's ages 20 and over the system calculates the ICD based on the patient's actual BMI value.

BMIRangeICD can be entered into the ICD field on the BMI vital control allowing the system to calculate and generate the appropriate code onto the Superbill.

CPT/ICD on Blueboxes, Textboxes, and Vital Controls

The use on CPT and/or ICDs is now supported on blueboxes, textboxes and vital controls on a note template. The CPT and/or ICD will only generate on the Superbill if there is a value within the field.

On a Textbox when the Type format is set to 'Number' then the value entered will be the Quantity of the CPT. For example if a practice wanted to charge for supplies they could enter the quantity of the supply in the textbox and that quantity would be used on the charge. If the Type format is set to Text or Decimal then the quantity will always be set to 1 no matter what value is entered within the textbox.

Allowing the use of a CPT and/or ICD on the vital control will prevent the practice from having to have a separate checkbox to capture the charge. For example if a practice is using the CPT II code 2001F to track Weight Recorded that code can now be entered directly on the control.

Patient Portal: Patient’s 18 and Over

In a pediatric setting, when a patient turns 18 years old, they are usually transitioned to take over the communication with their provider. This includes getting main access to their Patient Portal data. They can then choose to allow a parent to have participant level access to their account if they so choose.

Resending Failed Faxes

Within the Fax Queue users now have the option to re-send faxes. Clicking the Edit button will bring up the Requeue Fax pop up. Within the pop up the fax number will default to the previous fax number used. Note Merge Preview

When reviewing past templates, some clinicians prefer reviewing the note in the same manner in which they entered the note. Other clinicians prefer reviewing the note in a cleaner format akin to how it might send upon a chart release. This new feature described herein allows auto-merging the note upon sign and previewing the merge document in lieu of the note template.

Immunization Not Given Reason Enhancement

An enhancement has been added to the Immunization Module Not Given Reasons.

When a Not Given Reason is marked as “Immunization Still Due” in Lookup Lists, the system will now highlight the row to make it apparent to the user that it was not given. The system will also save the Not Given Reason Notes to the highlighted row along with who marked it Not Given and the date. After an immunization has been marked not given, the highlight can be manually cleared, or it will automatically be cleared when the immunization is given.

Note: Not Given Reasons that are not set to "Immunization still due" will continue to function as normal (they will appear in red and the user will no longer be able to order from the Schedule tab).

Prescription Search Changes

As we transition to bringing the prescription service in house there are a few changes/enhancements that providers will begin to notice as they are writing prescriptions.

1. Users will now need to enter 4 characters instead of 3 when searching for a drug.

2. When searching for a drug users will no longer have to click the buttons at the top for 'Search All Drugs', 'Search Templates', etc. Instead, the list will automatically include all drugs, templated drugs, and supplies. The initial to the right of each row within the search indicates if it's a Drug, Template, or Supply.
