TriMed has added a new ‘Adjust Provider Labels’ section in Global Settings. This section allows users to customize provider-related terms like Provider, Prim Care Prov, and Referred By with a 30-character limit. The labels will replace the default terms.
The entered custom labels will replace the default terms in the following specific areas of the EHR pages:
Previously, when viewing Open Slots, the system only allowed users to search one date at a time. Now, it allows users to search using a Date Range.
The ‘Schedule Column Bookmarks’ feature enhances schedule visibility by providing up to four customizable data points per user, such as visit counts or insurance details, on the schedule page. Admins and users can configure labels, set threshold-based color rules for dynamic visual indicators, and view real-time updates in the Schedule View, Calendar View, and Patient Information sections.
The 'Auto-Build' feature is now available on all blue boxes. To enable this feature on a blue box, check 'Show Auto-Build Options' within the textbox property.
Then, when the user fills out the note, they can change the blue box to a textbox by clicking the 'Auto-Build On' label.
Sometimes, visit items such as intended problems, assessment and plan, prior lab results review, and lab orders are prepared before a nurse or provider starts a note or even before the provider is with the patient. Those items are denoted as the 'Visit Prep Intended Items' for the appointment.
TriMed has incorporated features currently available within DMWeb to the Upload Document feature within a patient's chart.
Order Search Provider
When users select a template for the Upload Document chart item, the system checks whether the template is set to Order Search Provider. If the selected template matches this condition, the system shows the Order Search Provider dropdown listing the provider names of the open orders (that are not results received).
Open Referral/Open Lab Orders Popup
Upon document upload, if the document type matches the referral/order document types set in Admin > Document Manager > Document Type and has an eligible referral/order, the system shows the Open Referrals/Open Lab Orders popup. Users can select a referral/lab order with which the document chart item will link.
Chart Item Popup
The system will display the Chart Items Linkage popup if a document does not qualify for the Open Referrals/Open Lab Orders popup. Users can select and link the document to the appropriate chart item. By default, the system displays chart items from the past month, but users can utilize the dropdown to filter by date range for more precise linking.
The Procedures control, previously only available in a note, is now available as a separate chart icon. This allows users to add CPTs, Test Codes, Injections, and Immunizations outside of a note.
If no primary note exists for the patient on the current date, when the 'Procedures’ popup opens, users can add procedure items—CPT, test codes, injections, and immunizations. A new note, 'Procedure Record,' will be auto-created in the chart. This note will contain only two controls: 'Procedure Place Control' and 'A&P Control.' The note will be linked to the current date’s appointment, and the procedure items added will be linked to it.
For example, a test code is added through the 'Procedure Template’ popup.
A new primary note, ‘Procedure Record,’ is created on the patient chart, with only the 'Procedure Place' control and the 'A&P control.' The test code lab order created is linked to the primary note, and the test code is displayed in the procedure place control.
If only one primary note exists for the patient on the current date and contains both the 'Procedure Place Control' and the 'A&P Control,' when the ‘Procedures’ popup opens and users add procedure items, the added items will be linked to the primary note.
For example, A CPT is added through the ‘Procedures’ popup.
The added CPT is included in the primary note controls.
If there is more than one primary note for the patient on the current date and the primary notes contain both the 'Procedure Place Control' and 'A&P Control,' a pop-up window will display the available primary notes. Users can select a primary note for which the procedure items - CPT, test codes, injections, and immunizations will be added from the ‘Procedures’ pop-up. The added items will be linked to the primary note.
For example, in the above note selection popup, the user selects the ‘Procedure Record’ primary note and adds an Injection through the ‘Procedures’ popup.
The added Injection is linked to the primary note and included in the primary note controls.
Within the EHR, under User Details, users can now set their Portal Message Display Name.
Logic
When a practice user sends a new message to the portal or replies to the patient, we display the ‘Portal Message Display Name’ on the portal message conversation grid.
A new setting called 'Use Patient Address Suggest API' has been added to Check-In Admin.
When enabled, the patient can use the suggested address when editing the address on either the Patient or Guarantor tab.
