Patient Miscellaneous

Certain data points regarding a patient are not specific to a particular encounter but are important information regarding the patient and should be held on the patient level. Some examples include the age of first pregnancy, gestational age, preemie information, and cancer history. When patients provide certain information regarding their diagnosis or other details, EHR users can add it to the Patient Miscellaneous section.

Status Comments Added to Work Order Widgets

The Work Order and Work Order Tasks widgets now have a 'Comments' column. The comments show the Status Comments on a Work Order Task.

Response Status Added to Referral Tracker Widgets

The 'Status' column on the Referral Tracker and Referral Tracker Search widgets has been renamed to 'Auth Status.' A new column, Response Status, has also been added.

Family Details

Clicking ‘View’ on the ‘Family Search’ results gives users a ‘Family Details’ popup that provides the following information:

  • Guarantor/Patient
  • Portal
  • Family List
  • Email
  • Text
  • Form
  • Appointment
  • Contacts
  • Insurance
  • Inquiry

In the ‘Contacts,’ ‘Insurance,’ and ‘Inquiry’ tabs, a patient dropdown has been added to the top, allowing users to select which family member’s data to display.

Family Search Screen

The ‘Family Search’ screen under ‘Chart Find’ now includes additional options for finding family details associated with patients. 

Name: Enter a name associated with the Guarantor and Portal accounts. 

Phone: Enter a phone number associated with the Guarantor and Portal accounts. 

Patient Name: Enter a patient name to see the associated Guarantor and Portal accounts. 

Patient DOB: When DOB is entered, the system will return the associated family with matching patient information.

Family DOB: This field will return only the associated Guarantor account.

Email: This field searches and returns any of the following:

  • Any family with a family email matching the one entered
  • Any family with a portal account with an email matching the one entered
  • Any family with a portal account username that matches the email entered

User Name: When entered, the system will return the associated Portal account.

Active Dropdown: By default, the system only shows active families but can filter ‘Inactive’ and ‘Test’ patients.

Managing Portal Accounts

A few changes have been made to the 'Portal' tab within Patient Details and Family Details. 

 Users can now Reset an account. When clicked, the Portal account will be suspended, and the user can update the manager account. The system will pass in all the information from the original Portal Manager account to start, and the user can update as needed. 

The system will auto-generate a random 8-character alphanumeric password. Users can copy the password using the copy button. 

The checkboxes for sending emails and SMS have been changed to buttons. Users will need to click the buttons to send an email or SMS. 

The username textbox is disabled but can be edited by clicking the edit icon.

Require Injection Scenarios

A new Standard Preference under Immun/Injections, 'Required Scenario upon Save,' has been added. When checked, users cannot save an injection in a patient's chart without first selecting a scenario.

New ICD Problem List Flag

A fourth flag option has been added to the ICD Problem List screen.

Once the flag is selected, it can be seen with the star icon on various screens, including the 'Patient' tab on the Assessment & Plan popup.

There are multiple scenarios in which the system can automatically add ICDs that are added to a note or Superbill to the ICD Summary Problem List:

TriMed Forms App ***Updated***

If a patient arriving at the practice has not filled out forms during check-in, the EHR user has to select the forms within the ‘Check-In’ page and push them to a registered device. This could be the practice’s device or the patient’s device. TriMed now offers a new app in the iOS App Store called ‘TriMed Forms.’ This app helps facilitate patient forms quickly and easily using QR codes or Tokens. The app can be used for patients with or without appointments. The app is compatible with iPads and iPhones.
