Consent for Medical Care

Under the Check In tab, the Historian chosen for a patient's appointment will turn RED if they do not have "Consent for Medical Care." If the contact does have legal authority for medical consent, the name will remain in normal color.

Current Meds Displayed on Check-In

A patient's current medications can now be listed on the Check-in module. To enable this feature, go to Check-In Admin > Site Setup and click the box next to "Display Patient's Current Meds."

Patients can also now remove a medication they are no longer taking via the check-in portal. This option is located on the same page, labeled "Allow Patient to remove no longer taking Current Meds." 

When patients are checking in, they will be presented with a list of their Current Medications, and they have the option to remove one if they are no longer taking it.

Filter Smart Text

You can now filter Smart Text by user or department. Go to Admin > System Setup > Smart Text.


From here, you can use the dropdown to filter which Smart Text phrases you will see, allowing you to only see a certain user or department's Smart Texts.

Reply To and Forward a Notification

Users can now Reply To and Forward a Notification. Clicking on the double arrow next to the Completed box opens a pop-up window which allows you to select a user or team to send the notification to.

Copay Amounts Added to Insurance Widget

Copay amounts are now displayed within the Insurance Widget, along with the rest of the insurance information. The Insurance Widget is typically located under the Demographics Tab in a patient's chart.

Appointment Times Added to Check In Tab

On the Check In Tab, appointment times have now been added next to patient names on the Patient List.

Prompt Patient for Password

A new setting has been added which prompts users to set up a password for their portal account in case they logged in with a Temporary Passcode, and do not have a password on file. 

To enable this setting, go to the PP Admin. 


Under Site Setup, check the box labeled "Prompt Patient for Password."

The user will immediately be taken to a New Password screen when signing in for the first time. They will be prompted to create a password for their Portal Account.

PM Changes - V22.1.83

Insurance Plan Tags: There is now the ability to group Insurance Plans with an Insurance Plan Tag.  

Denial Code Tags: There is now the ability to group Denial/Reason Code with a Denial Code Tag

General Codes File Maintenance: Setup of Insurance Plan Tags, Denial Code Tags, Procedure Code Tags and Visit type Tags

Patient Communication - There is a new tab for the selection of Insurance Tags.

Report Builder - Template:  Credit Search - Filter report by Denial Code Tag and new field for Denial code Tag

Automatic Crossover Secondary Claims will now be marked "deleted" when a primary claim is rebilled (a new claim is generated) and the old claim is marked "deleted."

Credit Posting - When manually moving the unapplied Payments to outstanding charges in Credit posting, the system will set the unapplied payment to “Send Statement No” if the full amount of the unapplied payment is disbursed.

Patient Communications (family system) - In the menu item Billing->Send email and Billing->Send Text Message, input list creation can now be used and created for families. If you are using the Collection module, you can select a Patient Pool and automatically build an input list of families in that pool and then use that list to send emails or text messages.

Report Builder - There are new navigation buttons for “Patient Registration” and “Inquiry” if the report includes the field Guarantor Number.

Collections Workscreen - If the button “Work Pool” is selected, the default search will be a guarantor in a family system. If no pool is selected and the “Work Pool” button is used, the user may search for a family or add a family into collections once the search is complete.

Company File Maintenance - Practice Time Zone field has been added. If this is not currently set, please set the correct timezone and hit the “Ok” button to save.

Claim Review: “Add Selected Charges to Claim”  - If this feature is used to add a charge to an existing claim for the same date of service, the services added will also now be included in both the primary and secondary claims.

Intended Pharmacy

A new field has been added to the Prescription Chart Item called “Intended Pharmacy.”

The new dropdown will default to the patient’s Primary Pharmacy, but the user can change the pharmacy or add a new pharmacy on the Rx. 

When the provider eSends the prescription, the intended pharmacy will load as the sending pharmacy.

User Conversations - Chat History

Previous User Conversations can now be viewed on a new Chat History page. On the Conversation, click the triple dot icon and click "Chat History." 

This opens a page containing the Chat History on the thread. Select the year and month on the top of the page, and filter the search with the Search field on the right.
