TriMed Complete has introduced a new feature called ‘TriMed Authenticate.’ This feature allows users to receive an MFA code via the TriMed Authenticate app on their cell phone rather than receiving a text or email.
Patients can now use their cell number for account verification when creating a new Patient Portal account.
We have added a new Global Setting called ‘Apply Credit Balances on Check-In Patient Payment Screen.' Users can use this setup to apply the outstanding balance for one patient to the credit balance of another patient within the family. This feature is applicable only to the ‘Family System.’
For patients with a negative balance, the system will display the ‘Apply Credit to Family Balance’ checkbox as unchecked, along with a textbox showing the outstanding amount.
When the user checks the box, the credit amount textbox will be disabled. The red ‘Applied: $’ label along with the applied amount will appear next to the patients, and the details of the amount transferred from the patient to the family members will be displayed at the bottom in red.
If the user clicks any ‘Applied: $’ label, the popup will open. Within the popup, the user can enter or edit the amount. Payments are applied to any outstanding charges first. If a balance remains, it is applied to copays.
The credit amount from one patient can be applied to other family members. Click the ‘Apply’ button to apply the payment or click the ‘Cancel’ button to cancel the payment. The user can select an existing batch and clicks 'Apply Now' or click the 'Add Batch' button to create a new batch for processing the payment. Once the payment is completed, the system will display a message stating, 'Credit applied from Family Balance.'
Sometimes when an Administrator is working in EHR Admin, they accidentally close the EHR homepage so they have to log in again. To solve that issue, users can now click the logo in the top left corner of the Admin screen, which will redirect the user to the EHR homepage.
A new Admin setting in EHR called 'Restrict Access from Booking by Roles' has been added. An administrator can enable the setting on any visit type(s) and choose which role(s) cannot book the selected Visit Type on the schedule. This feature is available in both the PM and EHR.
In the Practice Management (PM) and EHR systems, if the user with a restricted role for a specific visit type tries to book an appointment with a specific visit type, a warning message will appear stating, ‘Your permission level does not allow you to book the selected Visit Type.'
Users can now mark Family History items as confidential. When an item is marked confidential, it will not be included in Word Merges, such as when a Medical Summary item is marked confidential.
A new Standard Preference, 'Restrict the Ability to Change Provider/Department,' has been added under the 'Chart' category.
When enabled, the users within the role cannot edit the Provider on the Appointment Chart Item and will not see the 'Change Provider/Department' option when they right-click on an appointment.
Within a patient note, users can change a required field to make it no longer required.
Within Standard Preferences > Notes, a practice can restrict a role's ability to change the required field.
The ‘Problem Status’ feature has been extended from the Patient Card to the Medical History Control, ICD Summary Widget, and ICD Summary popup. Users can now add and view problem status notes and the history of status changes.

TriMed offers a BPRangeCPT function on the Blood Pressure vital control where the system calculates the appropriate CPTII for both the Systolic and Diastolic values.
Systolic:
3074F: Value 0-129
3075F: Value 120-139
3077F: Value 140+
Diastolic:
3078F: Value 0-79
3079F: Value 80-89
3080F: Value 90+
If a patient has multiple BP readings in a single encounter, the CPTII code should pull the lowest systolic and diastolic values so the practice can get the best credit for the patient's measurement.
Example:
11:00 AM BP: 150/110 - Patient has just walked three flights of stairs to get to the clinic:
Viewing the Superbill shows CPTII codes 3077F and 3080F:
11:20 AM BP: 120/80 - Patient has had time to relax, and the nurse retakes the measurement:
Viewing the Superbill now shows CPTII codes 3074F and 3079F:
