Work Orders

Complex tasks often need to be performed and tracked over time. It can also be helpful to view the various tasks and information in a common, central area. TriMed Complete has combined the power of the custom note module with a task module that can be added along with a note. This allows each practice to customize the information needed for a complex task (or series of tasks) within a note. The various tasks can be tracked and viewed on the note template at any time.

This feature is called the “Work Order” module. Any note can be turned into a Work Order note, so tasks can be added to any note template. Work Orders can also be documented in a note without any associated clinic visit or additional note template.

Reopening and Removing Signed Chart Items

TriMed often receives support calls for users who prematurely signed off on chart items. We have added new functionality allowing users to reopen signed chart items. Once the chart items are signed again, the system will not trigger any notifications.

Medical Summary on Patient Forms

Patient-reported medical history can now be imported into TriMed Complete from a patient form. Designed for ease and convenience, this feature allows patients to fill out their medical history through a form/packet within our Check-In module. Once the form is completed, it is uploaded into the patient’s chart where it can be viewed by office staff. After reviewing the form and information, the office staff can add their ICDs and verify the information before adding it to the patient's medical record.

Supplemental Access

The Supplemental Access Feature is a module that when enabled, allows Manager Accounts to give supplemental access to their portal account to other portal managers. The Manager Account granting access must be set as “Relationship to Patient = Self.” This feature enables an adolescent’s account to grant permission for a parent/guardian to view their account.

Multiple Lab Reqs Per Order Set

Orders can have multiple lab requisitions linked to a single order set. This can be helpful when using a LIS for multiple lab companies like Internal Lab, LabCorp, and Quest. Please contact TriMed Support for help creating the lab requisitions. Then, within Order Set choose Custom Report List and choose which lab reqs to link.

When an Order Set has multiple lab requisitions attached there will be a Print button with a down arrow. Click the button and choose the desired requisition to print.

Preview Tab on Unsigned Notes

Some clinicians prefer reviewing the note in the same manner in which they entered the note. Other clinicians prefer reviewing the note in a cleaner format akin to how it might be sent upon chart release. For some time, the system has been able to display a Preview tab on signed note templates which displays the attached Word Merge.

TriMed has now added the ability to view the Preview on unsigned patient notes once the note has been created.

To set this up, go to Admin > Templates > Note Preview, and for each template choose the Word Merge that should be displayed on the Preview tab.

Then, at any time during the patient visit, users can click the Preview tab and the Word Merge will be displayed with the current data from the note.

Responsible Provider

The Responsible Provider feature allows a practice to link a provider to an appointment without the patient having to appear on the provider’s schedule for them to see. For example, when a large practice has a central lab and the lab needs to know which provider sent the patient there, the Responsible Provider feature shows that information.
