Patient Education Linked to Assessment & Plan

Within Assessment & Plan, Admin practices can link associated Patient Education documents to their plan templates.

If only one Patient Education document is linked to the plan, it will automatically be selected when the template is selected.

If multiple Patient Education documents are linked, users will make their selection(s) from the dropdown, change the status (if desired), and click 'Add.'

Disable Messages/Notifications on Chart Items

There are several ways to communicate from a chart item, including messages, notifications, and the Conversation tab. TriMed strongly recommends streamlining communication using the Conversation tab. Two new global settings—'Disable Message on Chart Items' and 'Disable Notifications on Chart Items'—have been added to support this. When enabled, the corresponding buttons will be disabled on chart items.

Portal Growth Chart Quick Links

Practices can now add Growth Charts as a Quick Link in Patient Portal.

The ‘Add QuickLink’ button opens the ‘New Growth Chart QuickLink’ page. Enter a custom name in the ‘Name’ text field, select the desired ‘Location in Portal’ to display in the UI, and click ‘Save’ to create the QuickLink.

When the Growth Chart Quick Link is clicked from the left menu or dashboard 'Quick Links' section, if the portal account has multiple patients, a ‘Download Growth Chart PDF’ popup will appear, listing patient names with checkboxes. Users must select the patient for whom they wish to download the Growth Chart.

If the patient portal has only one patient, the ‘Download Growth Chart PDF’ popup will display only the message: ‘Do you want to download the Growth Chart as a PDF now?’ Click the ‘Download’ button to download the Growth Chart PDF.

Once downloaded, a popup notifies users with ‘Growth Chart PDF(s) Downloaded.’

Client Interfaces: Immunizations

Under Admin > Practice Admin, a new screen titled 'Client Interfaces' has been added. This screen is especially useful for practices using immunization registries.

Unprocessed Immunizations: These have not yet been sent to the immunization registry.

Processed Immunizations: These have been successfully sent to the registry. Immunization records displayed in red indicate that the registry rejected the acknowledgement. Once the issue is resolved, users can click 'Re-Queue Errors' to resend the immunization record to the registry.

This setting can be enabled for roles using either the 'Admin Module: Practice Admin' permission or to only allow access to Client Interfaces use the 'Admin Module: Client Interfaces' permission.

'All' Option on Patient Search

Within Chart Print users can now search 'All,' allowing them to view patients who meet their search criteria regardless of their status (Active, Inactive, Test Patient, or Temp Active). Inactive and Temp Active patients will be displayed in orange.

The 'Temp Active' status temporarily allows users to access and work in a patient's chart. A nightly service automatically reverts this status to 'Inactive.'

**Business Case** This feature is particularly useful when a patient is no longer with the practice but the practice needs to access their chart temporarily (e.g., to print records). The Temp Active status eliminates the need to make the patient active for such tasks.
