Removing Conversation Entries

Mistakes happen! There are many scenarios where a user may accidentally add an update to the Conversation tab on a chart item and later realize it should be removed. Previously, the only option was to delete the entire chart item. Now, clients have the ability to grant specific roles permission to delete individual conversation entries.

In Practice Admin > Practice Settings > Item Reopening, a new option has been added: Allow deleting conversation entries within XX days of the conversation notification sent datetime. By default, this checkbox is unchecked, and the days field is blank. Administrators can enable the checkbox and set the number of days after the conversation notification in which deletion is allowed.

When enabled, a trashcan icon will appear next to each conversation entry that falls within the defined timeframe.  Clicking the icon will prompt a confirmation pop-up before the entry is deleted.

All deleted notification history is logged in the alter history within the Item Reopening page.

Wait List Indicator on Appt Booking

When booking an appointment for a patient who is already on the wait list, the system will display a Current Wait List section directly on the Book Appointment screen. This allows users to view the patient’s existing wait list entry and confirm or update scheduling details as needed during the booking process.

Check-In: Label Only Option

Check-In Admin has been enhanced to allow clients the ability to mark any Patient or Guarantor Demographic field as 'Label Only'. 

When a field is set to Label Only, it will still be visible to patients during check-in (via the Check-In link or Receiver App), but they won’t be able to edit it.

Check-In: Upload Photo and Document

The Check-In feature has been upgraded to provide patients with a more streamlined and complete intake experience. Patients can now upload a personal photo and securely capture important documents, such as a driver’s license or immunization records, directly during the check-in process. This enhancement helps practices save time, reduce manual data entry, and ensure accurate records are stored in the patient chart from the start of the visit.

Result Color Options

The color options under Standard Preferences > Orders/Results have been updated for the following result types:

    •    New Lab Results

    •    Changed Results

    •    Out of Range Results Printed

    •    Out of Range Results

These enhanced options now align with the color selections available in Flowsheets, providing a more consistent and customizable visual experience across the system.

Emergency Contact Relationship Type

An 'Emergency Contact Type' dropdown has been added to the Emergency Contact section in Patient Registration. Patients can also complete this field during check-in.

The dropdown values are pulled from General Codes File Maintenance > Contact Type, and include a hardcoded 'Other' option. When 'Other' is selected, a textbox appears, allowing users to enter a custom contact type.

New Alert for Expired Immunizations and Lot Numbers

When an immunization is ordered, and either the immunization itself or its associated lot number has an expired expiration date, the system will now display an alert on the Schedule, Details, and Log Immunization pages.

E&M Control: Split Visits

The E&M control now allows providers to select both Preventative and Problem-Focused procedure codes simultaneously.

When both are selected, A&P diagnoses are automatically assigned based on the following logic:

Z00 codes are linked only to the Preventative procedure code.

Non-Z00 codes are linked only to the Problem Focused procedure code.

If the user clicks ‘Combine Plans’ in the A&P control, any non-Z00 ICD codes associated with the Problem-Focused code will also be applied to the Preventative code.

Additionally, users can manually override the E&M CPT code by selecting a different option from the dropdown.
