When a provider selects a pharmacy on the prescription processing screen, the system can retrieve real-time benefit information based on the patient’s insurance plan, selected medication, and pharmacy, helping providers make more informed prescribing decisions at the point of care.

Benefit options are displayed directly within the Real Time Prescription Benefits dropdown on the Process Prescription page and may include alternative medications, pricing estimates, and coverage details when available. Providers can compare options in real time and adjust medications, strengths, or pharmacies before the prescription is sent, helping support cost-conscious prescribing and reducing follow-up changes related to coverage or affordability. This enhancement helps streamline prescribing workflows while improving transparency into prescription benefit information for both providers and patients.
