Inactivate Patient Automation
We’ve enhanced the patient inactivation process to better support common administrative workflows within medical practices. When a patient is marked inactive from Patient Details within the chart, a new pop-up now provides guided options to help complete related tasks in a single, streamlined step. If you are simply wanting to inactivate the patient with no additional steps, you can click the blue button “Mark Inactive Now.”
Users can apply predefined templates and scenarios that allow them to add patient codes, set a future inactivation date, send templated SMS or email communications, notify internal teams, and document the reason for inactivation. These templates can be configured under Admin > Practice Admin > Patient Inactivation Reasons, giving practices flexibility to standardize processes. This update helps ensure important steps are consistently completed while improving efficiency during patient inactivation.
