A 'None' option has been added to the Chart Item Default Department. 

Logic:

• If a patient has an appointment, default to the ‘Appointment’ department for new chart items.
• If a patient does not have an appointment, default to the ‘Chart Item Default Department’ for new chart items.
• If a patient does not have an appointment and the ‘Chart Item Default Department’ is set to ‘None’ for an EHR user, default to the ‘Patient Registration’ department for new chart items.

Example

No Appointment for the Patient 

Chart Item Default Department: None

Patient Department: Radiology Department 

Chart Items default to the 'Patient Department.'
