View On Hold Items on Widgets

Widgets have been enhanced to allow users to toggle and view On Hold chart items. This functionality now mirrors the behavior of Snoozed notifications by displaying an “On Hold - (#)” label in the widget header. Clicking this label will display the list of On Hold items.

If the widget settings have ‘Include On Hold’ enabled, On Hold items will be displayed by default. If the setting is disabled, users can still access On Hold items by clicking the “On Hold” label in the header.

Partial Payments on Non-Encounter Charges

The system has been enhanced to support partial payments for Non-Encounter Charges. The charge field is now editable, defaulting to the full charge amount, but allowing users to manually enter a lesser amount if needed.

Referring Physician Notes

A new “Notes” column has been added to the Referring Provider Search window and Referral chart item. This column displays information entered on the Admin > Referring Physician screen, enabling users to view provider-specific notes (e.g., Medicaid acceptance) prior to making a selection.

Editing Re-Opened Distributed Documents

When a Distributed Document is signed in the patient chart and later unsigned using the Reopen feature, all previously read-only fields in the PDF will become editable, and the PDF will be reloaded with the latest version.

Show Patient Age at Appointment Date

A new setting called ‘Show Patient Age at Appointment Date’ has been added under Admin > Scheduling > Schedule Settings.

When enabled, if a patient is younger than the specified age, their age at the time of the selected appointment slot will be displayed on the Book Appointment screen.

For example, a patient with a date of birth of 08/19/2024 booking an appointment for 08/11/2025 will display as 11 months old at the time of the appointment.

Cancel/Reschedule on Check-Out

A Cancel/Reschedule button has been added to the Check-Out > ‘Next Appointment / Book Appt’ section.

If the user’s role does not have reschedule permissions, only the Cancel button will be displayed—consistent with how this restriction is handled on other EHR pages.

The workflow for this button follows the same behavior as the Cancel/Reschedule functionality used in the appointment chart item.

‘T’ Shortcut in Template Date Fields

Users can now enter “T” or “t” in a date field within a note to automatically populate it with today’s date.

Custom EHR Check-In Links

In some cases, users may need to manually send the Check-In link to patients from the EHR Check-In screen. To support this, clients now have the ability to customize the text message patients receive. Setup can be done by navigating to Admin > System Setup > Lookup List > Check-In Text

The screen includes guidance to help clients understand formatting rules, including what content is allowed or restricted.

Note: SMS messages are limited to 160 characters total. To ensure space for the Check-In URL, only 120 characters are available for your custom message. Keep in mind that bookmarks count toward your character limit and can significantly reduce the space available for your custom text.

Ignore on Portal Meds

When a patient updates their medication history—either through the Portal or during Check-In—and marks a medication as no longer taken, providers now have the option to Ignore the change.

This is especially useful in cases where the patient may have accidentally marked the medication as discontinued.

Diagnosis on Referral Chart Header Widgets

A Diagnosis column has been added to both the Referral In and Referral Out chart header widgets.

When users hover over the diagnosis code(s), the corresponding diagnosis description will be displayed as a tooltip.
