Use Email for Questions on Statements

We’ve improved the Statement Control settings in both the EHR and PM admin modules. Practices can now specify an email address as the preferred contact method on patient statements.

Within Statement Control in both the PM and EHR, a new checkbox labeled “Use Email for Questions” has been added. When selected, an additional text field appears where users can enter an email address (up to 50 characters) to be displayed on patient statements.

When ‘Use Email for Questions’ is checked and a valid email address is entered, the system will display that email address as the contact method for any patient inquiries on their statements.

Pending Lab Results on Widget

A new Show Pending filter has been added to the Unsigned Results widget.

When this option is enabled, the widget includes a Pending column that clearly indicates whether all lab results are complete or if any items are still outstanding.

This feature becomes available when the Enable Lab Results Reconciliation setting is turned on in: Admin → Global Settings → Other.

Then, on the Unsigned Results widget enable to 'Show Pending' setting:

Once enabled, the widget displays a Pending column.

This column indicates:

    •    “X of Y” — if some results are still pending

    •    “Ready” — when all ordered tests have been completed

Additionally, the result chart item continues to display the result status for further clarity.

Chart Link Feature on DM Web

We’ve improved the document upload experience in DM Web to provide more efficient chart linkage options.

When a document is uploaded and its type does not match the referral or lab order types configured in Admin, users will now see a pop-up prompting them to link the document to a chart item.

Note: The linkage pop-up will not appear if the user's role has enabled the “Disable Chart Item Link on Document Upload” preference.

Grouping Diagnosis History Widget by Patient Problems

The Diagnosis History chart widget has been enhanced to make encounter diagnoses easier to review and understand. Previously, each ICD code displayed as its own separate line, even when multiple diagnoses were related. With this update, diagnoses are now intelligently grouped under their corresponding Patient Problem.

If an encounter diagnosis matches a configured Patient Problem in Admin, it will now appear under that Patient Problem’s Name as a single consolidated group.

Arrival Icons on Activity Pages

We’ve introduced three new icons on the EHR Check-In, Check-Out, and Appointment Prep Activity pages to clearly show how a patient’s arrival was recorded. These visual indicators make it easier for users to quickly identify the check-in source for each appointment.

Tablet Icon – Arrival recorded by the patient using Arrival Link feature on the kiosk

Person Icon – Arrival recorded manually by an EHR user

Car Icon – Arrival recorded by the patient via practice-initiated check-in or via Booking URL check-in.

Chart Find Enhancements

We’ve rolled out several improvements to the Chart Find module, including new search filters, ICD code search support, refreshed labels, and multiple usability fixes across various chart item types.

Deceased Filter

ICD Codes Filter: This filter allows users to enter multiple ICD codes separated by commas and supports partial-code searching. Each code must include at least three characters—for example, E11 and J45 are valid, while E1 and J4 are not.

Created By Filter for Chart Item Type = ALL: The filter defaults to Any, and the dropdown displays all users in FirstName LastName format, sorted alphabetically.

Facesheet Now Available to Send to Patients

The Facesheet form, previously only available during Check-In, can now be sent to patients through additional areas. This allows patients to update their demographic information outside of an appointment and have it automatically uploaded to their chart.

1. Portal Notifications: A new hardcoded option labeled Facesheet has been added to the Patient Form dropdown. This allows practices to send the Facesheet at any time.

2. New Appointment Form: Facesheet is now included at the top of the Patient Forms list when creating a new appointment form. Selecting it will load the Facesheet in the TriMed Forms app for completion.

3. Spanish Auto-Send (If Enabled): If the practice has the Spanish Facesheet setting turned on, the Spanish version will be sent automatically based on the patient’s language.
