Calendar Improvements

We’ve just released some exciting new user experience updates to the calendar, all thanks to your feedback! 

These updates should ensure the day-to-day management of your classes, appointments and courses are easier to handle.  

What’s changed? 

  • Improved visibility for events that are scheduled at the same time
  • The event type, end time, trainer name and image have been added to the event hover view 
  • The capability to show/hide the mini calendar sidebar for more space on the calendar 
  • Improved filter labels, buttons and date headings

More member data now accessible

Based on your feedback we have added the following data to our Members Report drilldown -

  • Price paid
  • Payment method
  • Next payment date
  • Barcode
  • Is in a group membership (Yes/No)
  • Is primary group member (Yes/No)

You can download this data and more by clicking on and drilling down into any of the headline Member figures at the top of the report.

Payroll calculation support now live

We have released changes to the download file on the Trainer Performance Report.

The most notable change sees a 'Cost Per Session' column replace the ‘Revenue Paid’ column. The 'Cost Per Session' is displayed for all credit packs, credit based add-ons & direct purchases. 

The 'Cost per Session' is the amount the member effectively pays for the session with the trainer. 

Example- a member has a Credit Pack with 10 credits that cost $250. The 'cost per session' would populate as $25 for each class or appointment taken.

We have also added a column for ‘Service type’ to help indicate how the class or appointment was booked.

Members can see the number of people booked in their class

Based on members’ feedback, we have made an improvement in what we display in the status of a booked class in the Member app. 

After a member books a class, they are now able to see the total number of bookings and the capacity for this class in the status bar. With this change we aim to give members extra visibility, so they know which classes are full and have people waiting, which classes have few bookings, and will likely get canceled if their studio has a low attendance policy, or be able to tell a friend there is a free spot in a class they’re attending. 

Please note that the new status will be only be visible to your members if you have ‘Display total bookings’ and ‘Display total event size’ enabled in the Member app settings in the dashboard.

Member Account Deletion

To comply with App Store Review Guidelines starting June 30, 2022, we have added a Delete account button within the Member App on both Apple & Android devices, that enables users to initiate the deletion of their account. Clicking this opens up the email application on their phone with a preset template for an email sent to the email address associated with the Studio in your Studio Settings.

Once you have analysed the inquiry, you can request data deletion with Glofox support on behalf of the member. When the request is processed, the member will no longer have access to the app and their personal data will be deleted.

Automatically remind members of their upcoming class

Following the recent release of birthday messages, we’re excited to follow up with another highly requested capability: class booking reminders! You can easily enable it by going to the “Connect” and then “Messages” tab, as shown below:

This will email members 24h before a class they’re booked for. As you can see, there’s a default message for convenience, but you can easily personalize it.

Lost Members Report Update

Based on feedback we have made an improvement to the Lost Members Report.

At the top of the report we have added a distinct count for 'Total Lost Members' for the period selected. A member may have had multiple memberships lost (expired or cancelled) in a period. They will only be counted once in this figure. 

Generally the 'Total Lost Members' and 'Total Lost Memberships' figures will be the same as a member can only have one membership at a time but there can be differences. The main table of data on the report continues to show a detailed breakdown of all Lost Memberships for the period selected.

We’re excited to release a highly requested feature: the birthday email! You can easily enable it by going to the “Connect” and then “Messages” tab, as shown below:

As you can see, there’s a default message for convenience, but you can easily personalize how you celebrate with your members.

Sales Tax Enhancements

Over the past few months we’ve been making several improvements to our sales tax feature - it is now flexible enough to handle any local tax requirements.

1. Sales tax on individual items

Taxes can now be added to an individual product or service, for example, 10% on water and 15% on protein bars, or 20% on a HIIT class and 10% on a PT session.

You will see the changes on the 'Tax' settings page on the dashboard, where you can apply taxes as desired.

2. Sales tax on product & service definition pages

Previously, all taxes were managed through the ‘Tax’ settings page. Taxes can now be applied to any product or service from the definition page. Having the ability to apply taxes when creating your products & services saves time and eliminates the need to navigate to the 'Tax' settings page to complete the set up.

3. Sales tax on custom charges

Sales tax can now be applied to custom charges if required. It will inherit the tax mode (i.e. inclusive or exclusive) that you’ve configured in your settings. All custom charge taxes will be visible on the ‘Transactions’ report.

Tax mode change

If your studio or gym is currently on the incorrect tax mode and you wish to switch from inclusive or exclusive, please log your interest here. click here. We now have the ability to switch your tax mode seamlessly, and update all pricing automatically without any manual intervention.

Add-on Services now live!

Exciting news as we have launched the first phase of our new ‘Add-on Services’ feature. You can now offer your members options to ‘Add-on’ an additional service to accompany their existing membership.

The 'Memberships' tab is now called 'Services' and from here you can set up and customise your own Add-ons right now! Some examples of add-ons you can now add include; locker or mat rental, towel service, nutrition membership, meal service, daycare, challenge programmes.

 Currently these new ‘Add-ons services’ cannot be used for class or appointment bookings but we will be adding this functionally very soon!
