Scheduling a Cancellation โŒ Restricted Memberships

We’re excited to announce that you can now schedule a cancellation for a restricted membership. Previously, it was only possible to set an immediate cancellation for any clients on a restricted membership. With this update, you can:

  • Reduce admin burden by ensuring staff no longer have to set reminders to cancel a restricted membership in 30 days time
  • Ensure that you never miss a cancelation request deadline.
  • Avoid upset clients due to unexpected charges.
  • Less potential for refund processing.

How do I schedule a cancellation?

  • On the 'Memberships' tab on the client profile, hit 'Actions'
  • Then 'Cancel membership'
  • Choose a date for the membership to be canceled

Points to note:

  • No changes to credit handling: Note, that credits will not be automatically adjusted when a cancellation is scheduled. Staff will need to manually adjust credits as necessary.

This is available for everyone using ABC Glofox with restricted memberships set up.

We are making it easier than ever to retain customers that have had a change of heart on cancelling their membership!

Streamline operations and ensure seamless continuation of memberships with the added ability to now cancel a scheduled cancellation for unlimited memberships. With this release, you can:

  • Efficiently remove any scheduled cancellations with a click of a button.
  • Avoid the lengthy process of creating a new membership.
  • Streamline operations for both staff and member experiences.

How can I remove a scheduled cancellation?

On the Membership tab on the Member Profile, simply:
  • Hit 'Actions'
  • Select 'Remove cancellation'
  • The removal will be visible in the membership history

This is available for everyone using unlimited memberships ABC Glofox.

Create date based limits on promo codes. ๐Ÿ•š๐Ÿ”š

Are you looking to create promo codes for specific holidays or events? Our newest enhancement offers the ability to set a start and end date for any promo code. With this update, you can:

  • Control Discount usage: Define when promotions are used and applied.
  • Reward members: Incentivize members or prospects during specific time periods. 
  • Reduce admin time: Set the date range once for the promo code activation and end.

How do I select which membership plans a promo code can be used for?

  • After creating your new promo code, select 'enable promo codes'
  • You will see two additional fields appear labeled "start date" and "end date".
  • Select the date range for the promo code to be activated. 
  • The selected date range can also be edited at any time if required.

Promo Codes with Membership Plan Restrictions

Get ready to better utilize our promo code feature! You can now restrict promo code usage at the membership plan level and also instantly see which discounts are in use for each member. With this update, you can:

  • Control how promotions are used and applied.
  • Incentivize and promote the sale of specific plans.
  • Easily identify if a member's membership has or had a discount applied to it.

How do I select which membership plans a promo code can be used for?

  • Within the 'discounts' tab, select the 'add discounts' button at the top. NOTE: this will only appear for super admin users.
  • Add promo code details and information as you normally would.
  • Select 'enable promo codes'
  • You will see an additional field appear that's labeled 'Restrict use of this promo code to specific membership purchases' - from here you can select which membership plan(s) this promo code can be applied to.

Points to note:

  • Creation & editing of promo codes is available to super admin users only.

How do I view in use discounts?

  • Navigate to the 'Memberships' tab on the client profile. 
  • A new Discount field will be displayed on the member's membership details which will list:
    • The discount name
    • The discount %
    • How many recurring payments the discount will apply to

New Audiences for one-off emails

We’ve added 5 new Audience groups for targeting your leads and clients with one-off emails. 

The 5 new groups are: 

  • Former clients - Re-engage with former clients with new promotions and offers 
  • Leads on trial - Target offers to leads that are currently on a free or paid trial 
  • Expired trials - Encourage past trial customers to sign up   
  • Failed payments - Send a friendly reminder to all customers with overdue payments  
  • Low attendance - Incentivize your clients that haven’t visited in over 14 days to return to the studio 

How to use Audiences: 

  • Go to Connect > Messages > One-off emails  
  • Hit the 'Send new email' button  
  • Select one of the audience presets that you would like to use  
  • Create your email and send

Restricted Memberships: Flexible Payments & New Cart

Our newest enhancement to the Glofox platform brings a more efficient and flexible flow for purchasing restricted memberships. Restricted memberships give you more control over the number of classes or appointments that a member can attend at your gym or studio. For example, you could create a restricted membership with 8 class credits to use per month. 

Take advantage of easy to use search capabilities for selecting the right items to purchase, more insight into taxes, discounts, subtotals and totals at checkout, as well as a single receipt for all of a member’s purchases.

What's New?

Our new restricted membership flow makes it possible to purchase restricted memberships in the new cart on the dashboard. As part of this release, users will be able to:

  • Purchase a Restricted Membership in the new cart 
  • Purchase a membership using a flexible payment (ie, alternate between card and cash)
  • Purchase a restricted membership with the POS terminal 

Note: this will not be supported in the old cart 

How to Use It:

  1. Click the Checkout icon on the left side of the Dashboard 

  2.  On the new page, select the client you wish to purchase an item or items for by clicking "Select Client" 

  3. Click select item and select the product/service you wish to purchase for the client. 

  4. If required click select item again to select additional products or services for the client. 

  5. Select the payment method on the right of the page, under the Payment breakdown 

  6. Click "Pay" 

  7. Once the transaction has been completed you can "Close Cart" to return to the Dashboard or start a "New Checkout"

What’s coming next: 

As part of the purchasing flow, we’ll be releasing "gift first period" and the ability to purchase a consecutive membership for restricted membership. We'll also be looking to improve our canceling and scheduling.

Fully customize your campaigns with our new email editor

Creating visually appealing email campaigns that align with your brand is essential for getting the best campaign results. Until now, however, the visual customization for emails sent from Glofox was limited to basic text formatting and images.  

As such, we’re excited to release our new drag-and-drop email editor! You can find it by going to Connect > Messages > One-off emails.

This editor radically enhances the customization capabilities available, including: 

  • Full layout customization 
  • In-depth text, color, spacing, and positioning formatting 
  • Easy image uploader, with a built-in image editor 
  • Integrated royalty-free image database  
  • Video embedder 
  • Call to action buttons 
  • Social links 
  • And much more! 


Additionally, we have four preset email templates that you can leverage so you don’t have to start from scratch!

Currently, the new editor is available on one-off emails and we'll be expanding it to emails from automated workflows too, so stay tuned for updates there.

New "Class Type" Filter in the Member App

Following closely after our recent update, we're thrilled to bring yet another improvement to the Member app: Class Type Filter. 

Now, your members can enjoy even more customisation in their class schedules, with the ability to filter by Class Type/Name - a feature that mirrors our web portal experience.

Members Report additions

We have added member Birth date and member Last visit to the members report. You can add these important member related items and more to the primary table by clicking on the columns drop down and selecting those relevant to you. We have also added the option to download each table on the report individually.

The Visits data and related report are only available to customers on our platinum plan. To learn more about upgrading, you can contact us at Glofox.Support@abcfitness.com.

Feedback was a key driver with these improvements. We will be releasing further enhancements to the Members report in the near future. Your suggestions are very much welcome below.

New Calendar Features Now Live!

We're always looking for ways to improve your experience, and we're excited to introduce some updates to your calendar that will make scheduling and managing trainer availability even easier! 

Feature #1: 

View Trainer Availability Directly on the Calendar 

No more guesswork or back-and-forth to check in your Appointment Availability settings. View your trainer's availability in real-time on the calendar, making it easier to schedule trainer appointments.  

How to Use It: 

  • Set Up Appointment Availability: Click on 'Appointment Availability' in the calendar section. Here, you can set your trainer’s availability.  
  • Select a Trainer: Use the trainer filter on the calendar to select the trainer you're interested in. Note: only one trainer can be selected at one time.  
  • See Availability: The trainer's available slots will appear as a blue bar on the calendar. The availability will be shown alongside the trainer’s booked appointments and classes.  

 

Feature #2:  

Additional Calendar Settings for a Personalized Experience 

  • Start Your Week Your Way: Prefer your week to start on a Sunday? Or is Monday more your style? Now, you can set the calendar to begin on either day according to your preference. 
  • Flexible Time Format: Tailor the calendar display to suit your business. Easily switch between 12-hour and 24-hour formats in the calendar settings, located to the left of your calendar.
