Send emails to class or appointment registrants

Every class or appointment you offer provides an opportunity to build community and deepen member engagement. You and your instructors can extend this opportunity beyond the session itself by using ABC Glofox to engage class participants with alerts, friendly reminders and other relevant content.

What's New?

In addition to push notifications, you can now send emails directly to clients registered for any class or appointment.

Why This Matters:

Email can be a less noisy option than push notifications, and allows you to share expanded content, images, and links.

  1. Pre-event updates: Share schedule updates, instructor swaps, or location changes.
  2. Post-event feedback: Gather reviews and testimonials right after class.
  3. Instructor branding: Let your team promote their social links or upcoming sessions.

How To Get Started:

  1. Go to Home > Calendar and select any class or appointment with at least one registrant.
  2. Click “Send group message”.
  3. Craft your email, hit Send, and you’re done!

Automatically cancel bookings made by paused members

Free up unused spaces and save your team time with our latest update.

What's New?

Starting now, class bookings will be automatically canceled when a member’s membership is paused. This includes recurring sessions and any bookings during the pause period—no more no-shows taking up space or the need to cancel manually.

Why This Matters:

This update ensures class spots are reserved for active members while reducing admin work for your team.

  • Increased Attendance: Prevent lost revenue from paused members taking up class spots. 
  • Improved Performance: Reduce the number of booking validations required.

Search by City

Finding your fitness studio or gym just got easier for both leads and members using your mobile app.

What's New?

The "Search by Area" option has been replaced by "Search by City" in the ABC Glofox app as well as all customer branded apps. 

If you have a branded app, searching by city will display any locations you have in the selected city. The ABC Glofox app will display a list of all gyms or studios in that city that use ABC Glofox.

Why This Matters:

"Search by City" makes it much easier for leads and members to discover studios or gyms in their city, whether they are at home or traveling. 

How To Get Started:

"Search by City" is automatically available in all customer branded apps as well as the ABC Glofox app. No further action is required.

Create fixed-amount discounts

Discounts aren't only a method to boost short-term sales, but serve as a powerful strategic tool to attract new members, retain loyal clients, or promote new services. 

In today's competitive fitness industry, a well structured discounting model can be the key to unlocking growth opportunities.

What's New?

You can now choose whether a discount is based on a fixed amount ($20 off) in addition to percentages (20% off).

Why This Matters:

The addition of fixed-amount discounts helps you: 

  • Take greater control over your promotional strategies
  • Drive higher conversion rates on larger purchases (percentages typically perform better on smaller purchases)
  • Alternate between discount types to avoid buyer delay based on previous offers

How To Get Started:

  1. Go to Manage > Discounts
  2. Select an existing discount or click "Add a new discount"
  3. Select Fixed Amount as the discount type, enter an amount, and complete the rest of the pop-up
  4. Apply the discount during checkout or share the promo code via the channels of your choice!

Next Payment Date Flexibility for Memberships With Restricted Services

Look forward to an improved user experience and streamlined member management with flexible payment dates for memberships using restricted services (ie, a membership that defines the number or type of classes a user can take as part of their membership within a certain time frame).

What's New?

Starting now, you and your staff can adjust next payment dates for Memberships with restricted services, bringing greater flexibility and closer parity with unlimited plans. 

Why This Matters:

These enhancements bring us closer to parity when it comes to features and workflows across different membership types (unlimited and restricted).

  • Improved User Experience: Easily update next payment date for all membership types.

Actionable feedback to improve retention

Understanding reasons for cancellations can be difficult to understand if the information isn't logged properly. To help bring more clarity to member churn, we've introduced cancellation reasons for unlimited memberships. 

Staff can now add a cancellation reason when scheduling a cancellation for members unlimited membership.

What's New?

Cancellation Reasons Flow: When processing a cancellation for a restricted or unlimited membership, you will now be prompted to select from one of 7 cancellation reasons.

Cancellation Reasons Tab: A new cancellation reasons tab is added to the lost members report. This tab displays a graph indicating cancellation reasons selected from churned members.

How do I add a cancellation reason?

  • Locate your member's profile from the 'Clients' list or use 'Global Search' to search for the individual member
  • Once you've located the member, click on their name
  • From their member profile, click on the 'Membership' tab
  • On the active membership, click the 'Actions' button
  • From the 'Actions' button drop-down menu, click the 'Cancel Membership' button
  • Choose a date for the membership to be cancelled
  • Click 'Confirm membership cancellation'
  • Select from one of the 7 cancellation reasons within the pop up that appears.
  • Click 'Submit' and that cancellation reason will then be logged.

NOTE: Cancellation reasons are available as dictionary keys (editable text fields) and can be edited for customers on eligible plans. For more information on the dictionary, click here.

These enhancements empower you to better understand why members are churning and capitalize on opportunities to build and grow. By automating the process for intaking cancellation reasons and providing aggregate insights, we’re reducing manual effort and saving you time.

New Feature: Pay for Credit Pack purchases using POS Terminal

Members can now use the POS Terminal to purchase credit packs through the updated checkout dashboard in ABC Glofox.  

Credit packs can now be processed through the latest checkout flow, providing a faster checkout experience and supporting in-person POS Terminal transactions including card payments, contactless, Apple Pay, Google Pay and other wallets.  

Additionally, the transaction summary screen and post-checkout quick actions allow you to easily confirm the details and outcome of the transaction and quickly take relevant follow-on actions at the click of a button.

Amplify is now ABC XLerate

The needs of clubs and studios are changing – customer acquisition can no longer happen in a vacuum and members have come to expect personalized experiences.

We're taking a new approach to building the customer relationship management (CRM) product of the future, putting productivity first and focusing on creating stronger connections among your staff, leads, and members.

ABC XLerate will be that CRM, offered as a fully integrated CRM + MMS solution alongside ABC Glofox.

What does this mean for you?

If you currently use Amplify, there is no change to the functionality available to you, your plan, or your pricing. ABC XLerate will initially have the same functionality you’ve utilized from Amplify, and will grow to encompass the additional CRM capabilities we’ve already been investing in and more. This includes advanced lead management, task management, and greater segmentation options.

Updates to Class Edits

In this update, we’ve improved how class edits are saved. Before, if you updated Class Details and saved, all your manual edits would be replaced by the master Class Details and Schedule settings. Now, only the specific fields you edit will update in future classes—nothing else changes.

What does this mean for you? 

When you edit Class Details, only the fields you modify will be updated in future classes.

This ensures greater flexibility and control over your class updates. You can find more information on how to edit your class details through our support page.
