Instagram Metrics

Instagram has been growing in popularity among businesses and brands keen to engage their customers on the social platforms of their choice. Wherever you’re directing your marketing efforts, you will need to be keeping track of your performance - and now you can do that with Digivizer.

Now that Instagram has made its way to Digivizer, you can:

  • Track the performance of your organic Instagram content and how it’s earning you followers and engagements over time
  • With the all new ‘Earned’ tab, you can see which people and brands are posting about your business via your brand’s @mentions and #hashtags
  • Monitor the performance of your paid ads on Instagram at the platform, campaign, adset and even individual advert level

In addition, if your Instagram account is a Business account connected to your Facebook Page, you’ll see much deeper, richer data points such as Impressions, Video Views, Reach and View Views. We’ll also retrieve your Instagram Stories along with their unique metrics.

Earned Media Tab

Wondering who mentioned your brands this week? Which channel your users, customers and brand advocates are using the most? Who the top posters were? Now you can answer all those questions in one place: the Earned tab on the Digivizer platform.

Why did we call it that? Here’s a quick explainer to three types of marketing media content:

  • Owned media: the content you completely control, like your website & social media accounts
  • Paid media: the content you pay for, such as your ads on various platforms
  • Earned media: the content that includes what people say about you, from users to influencers to employees, usually found in @mentions, #hashtags, articles and reviews!

We’ve been rolling out this new feature to a number of our customers to help them keep track of user-generated and influencer-generated content. Now it’s available to everybody. As part of the Earned media feature, you’ll get access to all @ mentions of your brand username and all uses of your brand #hashtag by default.

Data Syncing

Did you know that social media platforms typically don’t show you real-time, up-to-the-minute data? It’s often hard to figure out exactly how up to date the results you’re seeing are. With Digivizer, you will now know for sure how current your performance data is.

While other social platforms typically take up to 48 hours to sync your data the first time you connect, we know it doesn’t take that long.  You will generally see your data flow through within a couple of minutes, if not sooner!

Every time you log in to the Digivizer platform after that, you’ll see little green indicators on the Overview page next to each of your social media accounts. These indicators and timestamps will tell you exactly how recently our platform last pulled updated data from your accounts on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. 5 hours ago? 5 minutes ago? Knowing that can make all the difference.

Pro tips! If you see an orange or red indicator, this indicates that there is a problem keeping your data up-to-date.

Sometimes we’ll have difficulties downloading the data on time due to technical issues with the social network in question - there’s a lot going on under the hood! We’ll show an orange indicator if your data hasn’t been updated within 24 hours; rest assured, we’re on the case.

If an indicator shows red, you can fix that! Use the ‘Manage Connections’ page to reconnect your platform account with Digivizer.  Look for an alert towards the top of the Overview page with instructions as to what to do next.
