Data Processing Agreement

GDPR Compliance

AnnounceKit LLC (“AnnounceKit”) offers a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) that reflects the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and incorporates the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914, Module Two: Controller to Processor) for international transfers.

What our DPA covers

  • Scope and instructions. AnnounceKit processes personal data only on the Company’s documented instructions, and will inform the Company if, in our opinion, an instruction infringes the GDPR or other applicable data protection law.
  • Confidentiality and security. Persons authorised to process personal data are bound by confidentiality obligations, and we apply the technical and organisational measures described in the DPA’s Annex II - including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access control, and an independently examined SOC 2 program.
  • Sub-processors. The Company provides general authorisation for the sub-processors listed on our GDPR compliance page. We give at least 14 days’ notice of intended changes, during which the Company may object, and we impose the same data protection obligations on every sub-processor.
  • Data subject rights and assistance. We assist the Company in responding to data subject requests and in ensuring compliance with its obligations regarding security of processing, breach notification, and data protection impact assessments.
  • Deletion or return. At the end of the provision of services, the Company chooses deletion or return of all personal data, and we delete existing copies unless storage is required by applicable law.
  • International transfers. Transfers of personal data outside the EEA are safeguarded by the Standard Contractual Clauses incorporated into the DPA, with Annex I describing the parties, the categories of data subjects and personal data, and the nature and purpose of the processing.

The current DPA is available in our Trust Portal under Legal → Data Processing Agreement. To receive a countersigned copy for your records, email support@announcekit.app and we will return an executed copy.
