• Animated maps and tokens! Be aware that they take a toll on your CPU, so use with caution!
• Hovering/selecting a combatant's token now automatically scrolls you to them in the Combat Tracker! Same for the active combatant.

• Added "Actions", "Features & Traits", "Equipment", and "Spells" to adventurer stat blocks. Renamed "Description" to "Notes". One step closer to full character sheets!
• Zoom can now be controlled with keyboard shortcuts! Press "K" on the app to find out more!
• Fixed a horrible issue with the "Switch to Map" feature redirecting the Present view to the DM view!
• Fixed an issue with the Open5e JSON import tool expecting the API format - it now works both ways!
• Disabled map ping while using the Fog tool due to numerous false pings.
• Fixed an issue with flickering during dragging a token to drop on the map.

Hi all! I had a bit of a productive weekend, so today's release brings two super-useful features! Enjoy!

• You and your guests can now double click/tap anywhere on the battle map to ping a location that everyone can see on their screens!

• You can now access, update, and switch to any of your battle maps from the comfort of the app, without having to move back to the dashboard!

• Speaking of switching maps, you can now also force-switch your players to a new map! Just press that button and everyone currently viewing one of your battle maps will be redirected to the map of your choice.

• You can now drag your new Fog of War points while still drawing out your fog.
• Changed the Fog of War notification to be centered so that it doesn't show over your Stat Blocks.
• Changed the Fog of War color to be the dark grey for Dark Mode.
• Fixed an issue with asset boxes not scaling very well on smaller screens.
• Fixed an issue with the Dice Roller toggle button not showing the active state of the popup.

Hi everyone! It's been a very long week, but I'm so excited to announce the release of the "Reveal" tool, aka Reverse Fog of War! Enjoy!

• New "Reveal" tool for revealing "Fog of War" areas!

• Draw over existing fog with the Reveal tool to show what lies beneath!

• You can also reverse the visibility of an area for quick reveals!

• And of course, you can now drag fog around for dramatic effect!

• Updated the color palette to improve readability in both dark and light mode. Tarrasque.io now sports a new gold accent color!

• Added missing keyboard shortcuts for the rich text editor headings
• Fixed an issue with the Dice Roller not showing the equation used for simple dice rolls
• Fixed an issue on smaller screens where the zoom controls would overlay stat blocks

Hi everyone! Today brings a jam-packed update, full of fixes, improvements, and a couple of small new features. Enjoy!

• Added a "Reroll" button to the Dice Roller!

• After popular demand, the old grid is back and better than ever. You can now seamlessly switch between using cells and squares, and can also reset the grid dimensions to fit the battle map.

• Added a new Help section! This section consolidates anything from keyboard shortcuts to the roadmap, and soon, video tutorials.

• You can now see what's new in the latest update directly through the app! Just click on "What's New" in the new Help section.

• You can now send feedback directly through the app! Just click on "Send Feedback" in the new Help section.

• Added "Change password" under Settings.
• Added "Forgot Password" to Sign In form.
• Added crash report dialog. Whenever an unexpected fatal error occurs, you'll get this beautiful screen, urging you to submit details about what happened.

• Set the grid to be enabled by default on new maps. I don't know why this was off in the first place!
• Switched to two-tone icons to add some color to the app.
• Changed some styles on the battle map locked page to improve visibility.
• Fixed a layout issue with Keyboard Shortcuts on mobile.
• Fixed an issue with highlighting words in the stat block editor.
• Fixed an issue with setting the alpha value for the gridline color.
• Fixed a performance issue with typing and removing characters in stat blocks.
• Fixed an issue with buttons in the stat block not using up all the available space.

• Grid setup just got a whole lot easier. No more messing around with the overall grid dimensions, columns, and rows. The grid has now been rewritten to use squares!

• Hit points can now have decimal points!
• Fixed an issue with windows scrollbars getting in the way of the close stat block button.
• Fixed an issue when importing from Open5e where monsters with an empty subtype would crash the universe.

• Moved the Frequently Asked Questions from Discord over to https://tarrasque.io/#faq 
• There are now better defaults to importing monsters through Fight Club. If a creature is missing its size or alignment, it will be set automatically instead of failing the operation.
• Fixed an issue when importing spells that didn't set "concentration" explicitly as "NO". Now it assumes that if the field is missing, it doesn't have concentration :)
• Fixed an issue with unbalanced parentheses in the Dice Roller crashing the app
• Fixed an issue with negative grid columns/rows corrupting the map

• You can now roll multiple dice at the same time! A new dice notation input was added, which allows you to do all sorts of new things. There's even a custom dice face input for anyone who wants to use d3s or d256s. Try it out!

• The dice roller now shows the dice equation along with each individual roll result, so you know how well certain dice did, and which ones should go to Dice Jail.

• Added the Dice Roller to the keyboard shortcuts. You can now press "d" to open it up.
• After some security check-ups and fixes, battle maps can now be shared online without requiring a password! Rejoice!

• There's a new-ish landing page over at Tarrasque.io. This is the first of many updates for the landing page which should help share a lot of the Discord-only knowledge over to Tarrasque.io where everyone can access it.

• Speaking of Discord, there's now a link to join the Discord server from the user panel. Discord is currently the official way for reporting bugs and requesting new features for Tarrasque.io, plus we have a great community that loves helping each other. Come join us!

• Made some performance improvements for CPU-limited devices. This may affect performance on memory-limited devices, so please let me know if you encounter any issues and I'll try to find a middle ground.
• Fixed an issue where the Create/Update buttons in monster stat blocks would sometimes disappear. The buttons should now always be visible!
• Fixed an issue with stat blocks not showing the correct ability bonuses.
• Fixed an issue on touch devices where tapping on a token on the map wouldn't highlight the respective combatant.
• Fixed an issue with negative HP combatants not being marked as dead on the map.
• Fixed a tiny issue with hit points and hit dice not being separated by a space 🤪

• The ability to share a battle map with your friends! You can now share a view-only version of the map with your players in case you're playing online, or just don't want to have to screen-share over Discord anymore!

• It makes sense you'd want to keep your players prying eyes away from the map when you're not playing. Instead of changing the password when the session is over, you can just disable access entirely.

• A new menu when you're viewing a battle map in Host View! With new features being added to the app, it seemed necessary to separate the user panel from the battle map menu. Plus, it comes with hints and subtext!

• Not a wizard with the keyboard? Keep getting your password wrong? In this update, there's a toggle to view your password in plain text before submitting it.

• The "X" and "Y" properties of the grid have been renamed to "Offset X" and "Offset Y" to make it a bit more obvious what they do.
• Fixed an issue with asset searching not being correctly positioned on iOS/Mac devices.

• Upload limits have been increased! For Titans, 100 MB per file (up from 20 MB), and 1 GB total storage (up from 100 MB) and for Legends, 500 MB per file (up from 100 MB), and 5 GB total storage (up from 1 GB). Could this be a hint for more upload formats?
• Don't blink or you'll miss it! A new loading animation is here, even though you'll probably never see it since it barely stays on-screen for half a second!

 

• Who doesn't like colors? The grid settings have been updated to allow you to enter any color value so that you can make those lines fit right into your map!

• Form submit buttons now show a progress indicator to let you know that something is going on!

• A new indicator for the HP adjuster makes it feel right at home in the Combat Tracker 😌

• The active combatant pulsing ring now works with tokens that contain transparent areas!

• Some browsers don't like the "Backspace" key being overridden, so you can now also use the "Delete" key to delete tokens and fog!
• Dark mode preference is now stored in the database as opposed to cookies. You'll have to give those cookies back, but thankfully the preference actually persists now!

• Fixed a horribly-timed issue with image uploads not working after v0.6.0
• Fixed an issue with an unnecessary scrollbar on navigation in some browsers
• Some browsers sorted combatants differently, this is now resolved!
