Branching Scenario – Improved Visibility for Start and End Scenes
We've made some minor improvements to the Branching scenario screen to make it clearer where your start and end scenes are.
What's changed?
Start scenes
Every Branching scenario requires a start scene. The start scene will always be the first scene in your scenario. Prior to this release it was possible to reorder the scenes which would sometimes result in your start scene being out of order. We've fixed this issue by ensuring that the first scene always remains as the start scene.
End scenes
Every Branching scenario requires at least one end scene, but can contain as many as you like. All scene types except for Feedback popups can be set as an end scene.
The main focus for this release was to make sure our users don't publish a Branching scenario without setting an end scene. This is important because an end scene marks the screen as complete, and without one, learners will not be able to complete the course.
To make it difficult to do this, we display a warning message that persists until you add your end scene.
In addition we've made it easier to set an end scene by displaying the controls in a more prominent position.
We've also included helpful visual aids to indicate where each end scene resides in your scenes list.
