Enrol learners into groups on creation
We've implemented another great time saver. Now when creating new learners from the users screen, you can enrol them directly into a group.

We've added zoom functionality to the Slideshow and Text and Image screen types so that learners can now see your images at full size.
Simply click to reveal, and dismiss to go back.
We'll be adding this functionality to more screen types where needed, so contact us and let us know where you'd like this feature added next.
The single page course builder is here — jump into a course to see what's new!
Course builder navigation
The new builder sidebar is designed to replicate the learner experience — using the sidebar, you can add and edit modules, build lessons and quizzes, and navigate through the course the same way your learners do. Everything is visible in a single page - less back and forth, more time creating!
Quizzes
Every quiz and checkpoint question has been redesigned for learners, and builders. Trainers can now see exactly how quizzes will look while building them, with inline editors replicating what learners will see.
Publish / Revert changes
Publish or revert multiple module changes at the same time using the new publish modal. No need to navigate to individual modules.
Document, Video, External link, and SCORM modules
The Document, Video, External link, and SCORM modules have all been converted to inline editors.
Enrollments
The enrollments tab can now be accessed by clicking the 'Enrollments' button on the top-right-hand-side of the screen.
Finish screen and Certificates
The finish screen and certificates have been combined so they bookend the new builder nicely at the bottom of the screen.
We have just released inline editing for 4 lesson screen types:
Now you can see how the screen will look without having to preview it! Make sure you check out the new editors and let us know what you think.
We'll be transitioning all of our editors to inline over the coming months, so keep a lookout for more announcements as we roll out each update.
Our WYSIWYG editor has just been updated with an improved UI that displays only the most frequently used options in the WYSIWYG toolbar.
Simply click the menu icons to reveal a row of additional options for that category.
We've updated the Video and Slideshow Lesson screens in line with our recently released course style updates, providing your learners with a fresh, consistent experience.
Key changes include rounded corners, smoother transitions, and the introduction of a carousel to the slideshow template.
Go and check them out and let us know what you think!
As promised we've just launched major updates to the way your learners experience courses in Coassemble.
By moving the floating course navigation from the bottom of the screen to the top of the screen we've been able to save valuable screen realestate making it more likely that your learners won't need to scroll to reveal course content.
To accomodate the improved navigation, your company branding, the learner profile, notifications, and announcements have been moved to the sidebar. If your workspace already has a custom favicon it will also appear in the sidebar.
The sidebar menu is now opened and closed from within the screen content container. This alleviates the problem where the menu button would obscure the contents of the menu.
We've implemented a new design approach that threads through every module within a course. This provides a consistent experience, starting from the course overview, to every lesson template, and module.
You'll notice this new design as the friendly rounded corners on the buttons and cards, and a new capsule that contains all of the course content.
One of the most notable improvements is how your lesson screen background colours will be displayed. Lesson background colours will now appear behind the content. We wanted to retain the flexibility of making your lessons pop with blocks of colour but in a way that would allow you to retain the integrity of the information displayed to learners. Doing this opens up the possibility of introducing a dark mode for learners in the future, which we feel is important for accessibility.
We've made some exciting changes to the way your learners interact with Checkpoint templates in the Lesson module.
Checkpoints now appear as individual questions in the sidebar menu, making it easier for learners to know where they're up to.
Checkpoints now require learners to submit their answers before confirming whether they've got the answer correct. This leads to a less abrupt experience where learners were faced with a feedback pop-up immediately after they've attempted to answer a question.
We've just released Enrollment links for groups!
This means that you can now share a single link that will automatically enroll the recipient into multiple courses.
The main differences are as follows:

We've just launched some major improvements to the image editor to make adding images to your courses easier than ever 🎉
So what's new?
Improved cropping functionality
We've spent a lot of time refining our cropping tool so that it crops just the way you intended it to.
More clarity around forced ratios
There are many lesson templates that enforce specific crop ratios for images. We do this to ensure each image is displayed as intended (e.g. not stretched or squashed). It wasn't always clear why, but the improved UI will now let you know when a ratio is enforced, so you choose the image that best suits your design.
Integrated alternative text input
We've integrated the ALT text function into the image editor so that you can add alternative text at the same time you add your image.
Ratio select options
Crop like a pro using the quick ratio select options. No more guessing, no more hoping you've cropped it just right..
