We are happy to announce the release of our new Microsoft API connection method for Office 365 installations.

This new connection method provides you with an additional way to connect your Office 365-based email services to Perception Point’s Advanced Email Security – using the Microsoft Graph API.

The new Microsoft API connection method incorporates a super-simplified connection procedure – that doesn’t require you to perform any configurations in your Microsoft account, and allows you to easily select which domains and users to protect.

The existing Inline connection method is still available. Here's a quick comparison between the two connection methods:

• Inline (Prevention mode): This connection method scans and blocks malicious email pre-delivery. The inline method requires adding a TXT record to the DNS, and then running an automated onboarding script.
• Microsoft API (Detection and response mode): This connection method scans emails in parallel with the delivery of the emails. A TXT record is not required. End users may see malicious emails in their inboxes for a few seconds before the email is deleted.
