We’ve added the following new detection improvements to the Browser Extension:

• Phishing website detection via ML-based image recognition
• Detection of additional malicious web attack techniques (e.g. XSS, Clickjacking)
• Detection of files delivered via HTML smuggling

You can now display the Perception Point-X-Ray user interface in Japanese. This is in addition to the languages that were previously available: English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Korean. 

To change the UI language, click the Language icon on the right of the Perception Point-X-Ray toolbar, and then select the required language. 

We've updated the look of the toast messages that are displayed by the Advanced Browser Security [ABS] Browser Extension. We removed the Perception Point logo, and added icons to improve visual recognition of the message content. In addition, the toast messages are now color coded to make the meaning and significance of each toast immediately apparent to the end-users.

We are happy to announce the release of our new Microsoft API connection method for Office 365 installations.

This new connection method provides you with an additional way to connect your Office 365-based email services to Perception Point’s Advanced Email Security – using the Microsoft Graph API.

The new Microsoft API connection method incorporates a super-simplified connection procedure – that doesn’t require you to perform any configurations in your Microsoft account, and allows you to easily select which domains and users to protect.

The existing Inline connection method is still available. Here's a quick comparison between the two connection methods:

• Inline (Prevention mode): This connection method scans and blocks malicious email pre-delivery. The inline method requires adding a TXT record to the DNS, and then running an automated onboarding script.
• Microsoft API (Detection and response mode): This connection method scans emails in parallel with the delivery of the emails. A TXT record is not required. End users may see malicious emails in their inboxes for a few seconds before the email is deleted.

Advanced Browser Security [ABS] by Perception Point helps users to browse the internet safely, while maintaining their productivity. The Advanced Browser Security Console lets you configure and manage how the ABS Browser Extension operates in your organization. You can now access the Advanced Browser Security Console from inside X-Ray - without the need to enter any additional user credentials.

The ABS Browser Extension blocks access to malicious and phishing websites, as well as to malicious file downloads. Scans are performed behind the scenes - without changing the user's browser experience - so that users can stay productive and safe. The scan results appear in the Scans page inside Perception Point‑X‑Ray.

You can access the Advanced Browser Security Console only if Advanced Browser Security is enabled and activated for your organization - in Perception Point-X-Ray. For details, see the Perception Point Documentation Center.

We are pleased to announce the launch of our latest solution designed to detect 2-step phishing attacks. This type of attack requires users to click twice in order to reach the malicious payload. Typically, attackers use legitimate websites to host the initial link, and users are then directed to a fake login screen.

To combat this evasion technique, Perception Point has developed an innovative image recognition model that leverages object detection. Our model takes a screenshot of a webpage and identifies clickable elements within it. This enables us to dynamically scan fake login websites and prevent them from reaching users’ inboxes.

This enhanced phishing detection functionality is now automatically available to all users of Perception Point's Advanced Email Security, further improving your email protection.

Perception Point’s incident response (IR) team provides 24/7 fast reaction to users' requests for scan investigations - and strives for quick remediation.
Tracking the discussion and the actions taken is very important, and can be done in the Scan History control [in the Scans page of X-Ray].

The Scan History control was enhanced to include all emails sent between your organization and the IR team - that relate to the original investigation request. This makes it easier to view the entire scan history discussion in one place.

In addition, we've enhanced the way that we show the scan history. The scan history is now displayed as a conversation between your organization and the Perception Point IR team. This makes it easier to follow the input from both participants involved in the investigation.

To improve visual clarity relating to verdicts in X-Ray, we have added color coding to the icons for each type of verdict - using the standard traffic light colors. Icons for malicious and restricted verdicts are displayed in red; for spam and suspicious verdicts in yellow, and for clean verdicts in green.

You can see the new color-coded icons in the Scans page and in the Insights dashboard in X-Ray. 

We have redesigned the X-Ray Insights dashboard so that it now focusses on the specific attack types to which your organization is subjected, such as Credential Phishing and Vendor Impersonation attacks. Understanding the attack types will help you to better protect your organization. 

To provide an ever better understanding of the most frequent attacks, we added three new metrics that you can display in the Insights dashboard: Top attacked people, Top compromised people, and Top impersonated identities.
