π Updated Who's Here, New Notifications, End of Support for IE
Hi everyone!
It's been a little while since our last update 🙈, but sometimes it's worth waiting for something exciting, right?
Our engineering teams have been working on some really cool features over the last few months that we will be releasing to everyone soon (so stay tuned!) and today we would like to announce two new updates that we think you're going to love!
A revamped Who's Here is now HERE!
The Who's Here area of the event is super important to event organisers and delegates alike as it gives you an instant view of who's around in your area which can prompt you to find a new connection.
We have visually redesigned it across all areas (Lobby, Webcasts, Booths) so that it looks smarter and easier to navigate. The profile icons are now bigger and now you can also see which company that delegate is from without clicking on their profile.
The text at the top now also shows you a snapshot of how many users are online in that area or event. A neat little addition to get a pulse of how busy your online space is.
There will be one more exciting feature coming, but we will let you know in the next update ;)
NEW Notification Centre, which is also now on mobile!
Based on your feedback, the notifications can be easy to miss, hard to manage and are not accessible on mobile.
We are changing that with our new Notification Centre which brings notifications controls directly to you. You can now also mark your notification as Read, or Deleted or do a bulk action to Delete All.
The red circle will pop up on the bell icon to tell you there is a new notification waiting for you. The number shown will also tell you how many notifications you have unread.
We are also adding a timestamp to each notification so that you can see how long ago the notification arrived and we are also adding icons to them so that you can easily see what that notification is about.
Mobile is here! If you previously accessed your event on mobile you would have noticed that notifications were not available but with the new Notification Centre you will now be able to access the same notifications on your mobile event site as well. A useful feature if you are away from your desk!
Below are some questions we wanted to address so that you are in the clear :)
When are these features coming to my event?
Today, 17th November.
Do I need to do anything to get those updates?
These features will automatically appear at your event, but you might have to clear cache in order to see the changes if you have previously logged into your event.
Are these paid features?
Nope, these upgrades are totally free.
We hope you will enjoy using these features, and if you spot any bugs or have suggestions you can simply let your Event Project Manager or Account Manager know.
😥 End of Life Support for Internet Explorer 11
One last thing, we are sad to say goodbye to Internet Explorer, but just to let you know we no longer officially support Internet Explorer 11. If you or somebody you know is still using Internet Explorer we recommend to switch to Google Chrome for best event experience. See our updated system requirements article.
Have a great week ahead! 🎊
