π2-Factor Authentication is Here!
Hi everyone,
We are excited to announce that 2-factor authentication (2FA) is now available for all Admins using the iVent platform!
We take safety and security seriously at iVent. By adding this extra layer of protection we are making access to your Admin Area even more secure from unauthorised access 👀🙈.
How does it work? 🤔
There's nothing to enable.
There is now a new prompt to enter a one-time password (OTP) whenever you access the Admin Portal area. This OTP will be automatically generated and sent directly to the email associated with your account. This won't affect logging in, just accessing the Admin Portal area.
What I need to know
All Admins and Booth Admins will need to use this 2-factor authentication method for accessing areas of the Admin Portal like Booths, Webcasts and Reporting.
This feature is always automatically enabled in your event instance and is there to keep your data safe & sound from unauthorised access.
