Booking flow update!

We're excited to announce a new Booking flow! You now have the option to enable "Booking approvals." What does this mean? Now, when a guest makes a booking, it will simply be a booking request and considered pending until a member of your staff accepts. At that point in time it will become an actual booking. Your staff can also choose to reject the booking request, in which case it disappears. 

When you enable this, the "Bookings" page will have a third tab called "Needs approval" where you can see all your booking requests.

You can also choose to view these bookings in the calendar view, where they'll appear with a dotted border to distinguish them from actual bookings.


--> Enable Booking approvals under Settings > Location > Bookings > Booking rules

Booking page filters

While previously you were able to filter and view appointments by Resource on the Bookings page, you were unable to filter by Services. Not anymore! Viewing your schedule in a customized way is now easier than ever.

Required fields for customers or staff

Yay to more flexibility! You can now choose if your input fields should be required only for your customers, or also for staff. This could be useful if you want your customers to fill out important information prior to their visit, but want to provide your staff with the flexibility to quickly add someone on the spot without having to fill out all that info.

Kiosk arrivals page fix

Allowing your customers to register themselves as arrived via kiosk just got better! 

Previously when a customer checked in, the screen redirected to a status page, which was not the optimal user experience. Now your customer will receive a confirmation message and the page will refresh with empty fields, ready for the next customer to register!

Public theming

Exciting news! You can now customize what your customer-facing pages should look like, with zero coding needed! Choose your font, colors, and background. You can even have an image as your background if you'd like. 

Simply go to Settings > Styling > Theme and let the creativity flow!

Ticket 🎟️ localization

Does your business use ticket numbers? Does the term "Ticket" not quite fit how you utilize this functionality? Great news, you can now customize the terminology to suit your business the best!

Retry when creating a visit ⏱️

We want to make sure that your high traffic times are effectively supported within Waitwhile. Previously, when a lot of customers were trying to sign up to your Waitlist at the same time, some received an error and were unable to sign up. We now have a mechanism live that supports retrying adding someone to the Waitlist up to 5 times in the event that the location is too busy.
