Click to Ship on Android Devices With the Earth Class Mail App!

We are happy to announce a new feature available on your Earth Class Mail Android app - shipping! You can now manage your shipping address(es), select a carrier, and ship your mail and packages right from your Android device - anywhere in the world. Other popular features you can access directly from your Android phone or tablet include:

  • Viewing your account and mail.
  • Requesting mail scans.
  • Viewing and sharing your mail as a PDF.
  • The ability to cancel a shipment or check deposit.

Download the Android app

To enable the shipping feature on your Android device, please follow the eight steps below.

Step One: Manage your Shipping

Settings > Shipping Addresses

Step Two: Add new shipping addresses

View the shipping addresses associated with your account or add new ones.

Step Three: Start a shipment

Inbox > 

To start a shipment, navigate to your Inbox and select the item to ship.

Step Four: Shipping Cart

Inbox > More... > Add to Shipping Cart

At the bottom of the screen, choose More and then Add to Shipping Cart. To ship multiple items to the same address, repeat this process.  

Step Five: Check out from Shipping Cart 

Inbox > Shipping Cart

The next screen will show the items ready to ship with a green bar to the left of the item. Next, click on the Shipping Cart button at the bottom of the screen.

Step Six: Confirm shipment(s)

Inbox > Shipping Cart > Ship items

The next screen will confirm the shipments. Click Ship Items

Step Seven: Select shipping details 

The following steps will guide you through the shipping options, and details such as: require a delivery signature, insurance, your choice of carriers - FedEx, UPS, USPS - and customs requirements if you are shipping outside the United States. 

Step Eight: Confirmation

You will receive a confirmation screen for final review. Click OK to continue. 

Your shipment is now complete!

View Pending Shipments and Processed Shipments from the shipments tab.

Future upgrades will include a bulk selection mode for an even faster shipping process.

Extra security for your Earth Class Mail account!

We are happy to announce that all Earth Class Mail accounts now come with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). The 2FA feature is an authentication method that requires providing an additional verification factor to confirm your user identity and grant account access. Once you take steps to enable 2FA, even if your password becomes compromised, your account will still be protected as the person trying to access it will have to provide a unique one-time verification code. The verification code is only available to the person in possession of the mobile device used to set up 2FA.

To enable 2FA, please follow the six easy steps below.

Step One: 

To activate your 2FA feature, navigate to the 

Settings > Security tab.

Step Two: 

Select the preferred authentication option: SMS code, Authenticator app, or choose both.

Step Three:

If you choose the SMS code, you will receive a one-time verification code delivered to your mobile phone device via an SMS message. First, a mobile number will be required. If you already have an active mobile number in your account, skip to step four.

Step Four:

Once your telephone is verified, you will receive a verification code on your mobile device. Enter the code in the SMS authentication box.

Step Five:

If you want to enable 2FA via an authenticator application (e.g., Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy), use the QR code on your screen. 

Step Six: 

Once 2FA is enabled, your backup code will automatically generate and appear on your screen. Please keep this number in a safe place. If you lose access to your verification method, you will need this code to access your account.

A new login experience for the Earth Class Mail iOS app!

For our Apple product users, a newly redesigned experience is now available in the App Store for iPhone and iPad. To see it in person, you have to download the upgrade which is quick and easy:

New features

The new experience, after upgrading to the new 1.2.7 Version, is the first screen you see sleek and inviting.



The new screen comes in a choice of light or dark mode. The dark mode is useful for reducing eye strain in low light conditions. To activate the dark mode you may need to change your settings in the account. Here are a few quick steps to take:

  1. From your Mailroom page, click the hamburger icon in the upper left corner. 
  2. Click on Settings.
  3. Find the Theme setting all the way at the bottom of the screen.
  4. The Theme will give you two options: Automatic (iOS settings) and Dark mode. Make your selection.





    Why did we release this upgrade?

    Our aim is to provide a more satisfying, consistent, and fully functional experience for you.

    Updating the login experience is one of many upgrades coming in the future. A more secure entry point is in development with a new Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and the ability to show or hide your password at login.

A New Dashboard for Earth Class Mail Customers

Introducing our new Dashboard!

We are excited to announce the release of a new Dashboard view for our web application.

The new Dashboard view was designed based on customer feedback and the key services you access most.  You can avoid navigating through multiple menus to see and manage your account. With this new top-level view, you can spot your new mail, recent activity, the status of the services you’ve requested, plan details, usage, and the number of items incurring storage fees - all in one place.

The Dashboard is now the default view when you log into your account at  earthclassmail.com 


See what’s new

Left Navigation Bar

Find your user account information on the top left of the screen. If a triangle is present next to the account #, you can click on it to switch between other users associated with this account. If you navigate away from the Dashboard and wish to come back, it’s the first menu item on the navigation bar.


Top Section - Recent Items in Mailroom

Your most recent mail items appear at the top of the Dashboard. For easy recognition, the large thumbnails show the scanned image of the mail or package. This section gives you a quick snapshot of your most current mail. If you wish to see all items in your mailbox, click on the link: “View all items in Mailroom.”


Middle Section - Service Status

This section is a summary view of your top account activities in one glance:  Scans, Deposits, Shipments, Storage/Usage Fees. Detailed information on any of these items is one click away. Just hover over the ellipse to see more choices. 

  • Scan  - displays the number of new scans and items scheduled for scanning. 
  • Deposit  - displays the quantity and status of your deposits. All mail Items available for deposit appear first followed by the items currently in the check deposit process.
  • Ship - displays the number of pending shipments and the scheduled time for your next shipment. 
  • Store - displays the number of items stored at our facility and those incurring storage fees.   For more detailed information on your storage fees, scroll your mouse over the ellipse on the top right of the Store section. 

! IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING STORAGE FEES:  Mail items will be stored at no cost for 30 days and packages at no cost for 10 days.  Monthly storage fees will accrue after those periods. For more information on current storage fees, go here.  To avoid storage fees, we recommend viewing your account before the end of each month and shred unwanted mail items and ship out any stored packages.


Bottom Section - Account Summary and Address(s)

In the previous user interface, you would have to navigate several menus to manage your account. Now it comes right up after login!  


Right Activity Bar

Your recent activity is now showcased on the Dashboard under Activity. You’ll be able to see all your information from new scans to account deposits.

We’ve updated our international shipping flow

Great news! We’ve added more options for international shipments. You will now be able to declare items as ‘returned goods’ when selecting the content type on international shipments. This new label will avoid excessive duty charges that would be charged if shipment contents were labeled as ‘merchandise’ or ‘documents.’

Steps:

  1. Login to your account (hyperlink). 
  2. Choose “Ship” at the top of your menu, or select from the drop down on your mobile app. 
  3. Under “Shipping Preferences,” choose “International.”
  4. Select the drop down menu “Content Type” and you will see the options for ‘Documents,’ ‘Merchandise,’ and ‘Returned goods.’




We’ve improved both our Shipment Request Calendar and ‘Move To’ function to streamline your workflow.

 Our new shipment calendar pre-selects the next available date so you know your fastest option immediately. We’ve also improved our ‘Move To’ function to no longer include the current folder that your item(s) is in to avoid moving items back to their original location.  

Some more great improvements and updates:

  • Improved shred, deposit, scan, and ship auto-rules making sure those rules will stay in place and won’t be cancelled with the removal of a recipient.
  • Updated “Add Recipient” error message to clearly state why you cannot add certain recipients to your account.  
  • Improved list view design and tag drop menu on mobile web so you can see more items than ever before on your mobile web browser
  • Improved  zoom in and out function to stop documents from zooming out a little too much!
  • Added a value limit on your international shipment value declarations to avoid errors
  • Improved  “Send to Cloud” auto-rule to prevent you from unknowingly creating auto-rules that will not work. 
  • Updated “Order Complete” and “You’re All Set”  page designs
  • Improved loading items list experience on iOS App
  • Fixed bug with shipping cart functionality to remove items marked as “not my mail” on iOS App
  • Fixed Checkstream integration so it doesn’t block the Client Application in case of service downtime.





Speed Up Your Workflow With Our New ‘Sender’ Mail Filter

You can now spend less time digging through your account inbox with our latest addition of ‘Sender’ to the filter options. This new feature will allow you to easily sort through your account, including or excluding items from particular senders.

Steps:

  1. Login to your account
  2. In Account Settings, go to “Automation Rule”
  3. Under Set Includes/Exclusions, add the sender name(s) under “Match the following sender names.” (Note: you do not need to provide the Sender’s full name)
  4. Once the rule is added, you will now be able to include or exclude mail from listed senders


Our iOS App Now Supports Dark Mode and Universal Links

Great news! Our iOS App now supports dark mode as its background. Dark mode reduces battery usage and improves visibility for users who are sensitive to bright light or have low vision. 

Added bonus! Universal links are Apple’s way to link to content in your iOS app, making sure you get to the right place on our app. Our mail notification email action buttons will now support Universal Links, taking you to exactly where you want and need to be on Earth Class Mail iOS app.

Moving Items Between Folders Is Now Easier

Move items faster than ever before with our new and improved features!  Our improved “Move To Inbox” and “Move To Archive” options will allow you to move multiple mail items quickly and easily. Additionally, you can now move items on your account, regardless of the recipient the folder is assigned to.
