From any screen, navigate to:

Interactive Insights Now Available on the Earth Class Mail Mobile App

The new Interactive Insights on the Earth Class Mail mobile dashboard and other user enhancements are now available for Android and iOS devices on Google Play and the Apple Store.  The new Insights feature we previously launched provides an overview of a customer's account status—now with clickable data to view more details in each category! It enables you to keep track of services requested, how many items are in each queue, and take action on any items that need attention such as checks waiting for deposit, items currently in storage incurring fees, unread scans, and more!

How to access Insights data on your mobile app
Open the Earth Class Mail app > At the bottom, click Insights

Gain instant access to clickable and actionable data for these five account activities:

  1. Scans: The number of new scans uploaded to the account (which are scans of items available in the MailRoom with the status "unread")
  2. Scans in progress: The number of pending scans that are in progress.
  3. Checks: Number of items in Mailroom with "check detected" status that are not in the check deposit process.
  4. Deposits: Items currently in the check deposit process.
  5. Storage: Number of mail/parcel items incurring storage fees (items being stored that are beyond the grace period).
  6. Shipments: The number of items pending shipment.

 
🙌 Note: Based on feedback from our customers wanting more visibility regarding storage fees and confusion about mail items’ statuses—we heard you and we acted on your input! This new feature provides visibility into key areas of a customer’s account. It makes it simple to track each item’s current status and take any necessary action on each piece of mail.


Now, let’s take a look at an example of how to put these actionable insights to work for you.

How to access and take action on Storage Insights data from your mobile app
> Open the Earth Class Mail app > Click the Insights tab > then, Click Storage


Next, click Select at top right


> Choose the item(s) you want to take action on
> Then select Scan, Archive, Shred, or More to complete the desired action



Finally, let’s go over some of the additional user interface improvements.

No more lag time when you click on the Insights tab—get immediate access to clickable and actionable information!

🙌 Note: We also launched visual enhancements with new folder, tag, recipient, and search icons in the MailRoom view, plus an improved unread mail item view on Android for easy navigation and a more consistent user experience across all platforms.

Visual Enhancements Now Available on the Earth Class Mail Android App

New release! Visual and other user enhancements are now available for Android devices on Google Play.  With the My Addresses feature added, customers can quickly check their current Earth Class Mail address(es) and share them with others. In addition, the login screen, MailRoom interface, and app header have been updated to remove visual clutter and provide a more familiar experience for all our mobile users, no matter what platform they’re on.

How to find and use the “My Addresses” feature

In the Earth Class Mail Android app, navigate to:
Settings (gear) icon bottom right > Click on My Addresses at the top to view your saved addresses


> Then, click the share button (on the right) to send address information to others

🙌 Note: Customers who mark mail items as "Unread" will now be moved back to the MailRoom view as expected. Additionally, customers who use multi-select will no longer see the bottom navigation bar to simplify their experience.

Customers can now effectively manage all of their shipping addresses and easily search for their preferred option. The design updates provide customers with a highly responsive and modern user interface for a more consistent user experience across the platform.

What has changed?
We are providing our customers with a more responsive and modern user interface to improve the consistency of their experience throughout the web application. The functionality has not changed for adding and removing shipping addresses.

🙌 Note: Previously, customers could only search their first 250 shipping addresses, making it more time-consuming and tedious if they had more than that. Now, you can search for an unlimited amount quickly and efficiently!

New Insights Mobile Dashboard Available on Earth Class Mail Mobile Apps

The new Insights mobile dashboard has been released for Android and iOS devices on Google Play and the Apple Store.  This new view provides an overview of account activities, services requested, and their status. In addition, customers get a quick glimpse of what they can do with their Earth Class Mail account from the data summaries in the app and could find added value in services or features they may have been unaware of.

How to access Insights on your mobile app
Open the Earth Class Mail app > At the bottom, click Insights

Customers will see information for these five account activities: 

  1. Scans: The number of new scans (which are scans of items available in the MailRoom with the status "unread") and the number of pending scans that are in progress.
  2. Checks: Number of items in Mailroom with "check detected" status that are not in the check deposit process.
  3. Deposits: Items currently in the check deposit process.
  4. Storage: Number of mail/parcel items incurring storage fees (items being stored that are beyond the grace period).
  5. Shipments: The number of items pending shipment.

New and Improved Navigation Available on Earth Class Mail Mobile Apps

A navigation redesign has been released for Android and iOS devices on Google Play and the Apple Store. The primary sidebar navigation function has been updated to bottom bar navigation. This update simplifies how customers navigate in our mobile apps and requires only one tap to change between the main app functions, resulting in 2x fewer clicks and a more user-friendly experience.

🙌 Note: With the growing number of large-screen mobile devices, the bottom bar enables customers to navigate through the app with one finger. In addition, the bottom bar is visible at all times, providing more insight into other features available in the mobile app.

Earth Class Mail Launches Tag Management Enhancements on Our Web App

New and improved Tag management features have been released on the Earth Class Mail web application. The updates to the tagging features in the MailRoom, and a new Tag management view in Settings, make it easier to tag mail items and manage Tags in Settings.

Applying a Tag on an item in the MailRoom
Applying a Tag to mail items in the MailRoom is now fast and straightforward with the “Apply a tag” extended dropdown menu, plus the addition of new search capabilities—no more scrolling through a long list of tags! We have also enhanced the Tag Search functionality with an option to quickly create a new tag when there is no match for the current search term. Additionally, we’ve redesigned the Tags view in MailRoom to provide a more organized and robust experience.

From the Inbox, navigate to:
Tag Icon on left in the mail item you want to tag > Click Tag Icon >
Choose an existing Tag or quickly add a new one



Filtering tagged mail items in the MailRoom
Customers also have the ability to filter tagged mail items from the Tags section in the MailRoom.

From the Inbox, navigate to:
Tags option in left column > Click to expand tag options > Choose tag you want to filter > View mail items with tag selected

We have also implemented our enhanced design for the Tags section under Account Settings to create a better and more consistent experience for our customers throughout our web app.

From any screen, navigate to:
Settings button > Tags option in left column > Search, add, or delete custom Tags


Quickly search and add Tags in Account Settings
Adding and finding Tags in the Account Settings section just got easier! It is now super fast and simple to search for an existing tag, plus the option to quickly create a new tag when there is no match for the current search term.

To search Tags in Account Settings, navigate to:
Settings button > Click Tags option in left column > From there, you can Search, add, or delete Custom Tags


How to promptly add new Tags

From the main Tags screen, navigate to:
Click Add a new tag link > Enter tag name and click Add to save


How to delete existing Tags

From the main Tags screen, navigate to:
Click the Delete button next to the Tag you want to delete > Then click Delete to confirm removal

Earth Class Mail Launches a New User Interface for Document Scanning on Mobile Apps

A new UI for iOS and Android devices on the Apple Store and Google Play to select scanning preferences has been released. Customers can now select their scanning preferences easier and faster and enjoy a more consistent experience across all Earth Class Mail platforms.

How to set up scanning preferences
From the home screen (MailRoom) in the app, click on the hamburger menu (3 lines) on the top left and select "Settings." Then choose "Scanning" and select your default preferences for color and post-scan options.

In the iOS or Android Earth Class Mail apps, navigate to:
Settings > Then choose Scanning > Select default preferences


🙌 Note: In the "Scanning" settings, there is a toggle feature to always "Show scanning options when requesting a scan" that you can turn on and off.

🙌 Note: New on Android, we have enabled the scanning preferences page to appear when a customer requests a scan (previously, Android customers could only change the scanning preferences by going to the Settings > Scanning page).

Swipe Action Menu and UI Improvements on the Earth Class Mail iOS App

The new swipe action menu with color and other enhancements is now available for iOS devices in the Apple Store. Customers will experience a more familiar and consistent experience across all platforms. The updated swipe action menu now presents text labels under each action to provide visual cues and prevent errors. The use of swipe gestures can cut down the number of steps to take actions on your virtual mail such as scanning, shredding, archiving, or moving your paper mail to the trash. In addition, the updated MailRoom interface improves the readability of your read versus unread mail items for an improved and more user-friendly experience.

See how the improved swipe menu feature works
The newly updated swipe menu has labels that add additional colorful visual cues under each action. The action icons are now consistent with the status icons. The easy-to-spot visual cues provide a more user-friendly experience and make it easier to spot errors.


In the iOS Earth Class Mail app, navigate to: 
Choose your mail item first > swipe left or right for options.

Swipe right to choose from other options including Shred, Scan, Archive, or Trash

The updated MailRoom interface helps distinguish between your read versus unread mail items by adding more contrast, increasing the width of text fields, and decreasing visual clutter.
