A wrecking ball to the world economy or simply the art of the deal? As policies change on a dime and markets still far from recovering from their whiplash, it’s worth noting US tariffs on the UK aren’t part of the 90 day pause, meaning 10% tariffs on all goods, and 25% on steel, aluminium, automobiles, and soon to be automobile parts are still in effect.

Many of our customers work with exporting firms whether its supporting, advising, or investing in them so we wanted to make it as easy as possible to find companies that might be at risk of these policies, letting you intervene fast!

To help, we have implemented a new metric on companies financial statements: Exports Turnover Ratio.

Calculated using turnover and export levels for companies that report it.

Find this new ratio on company profiles in the financials tab, or use our new and improved Advanced Search to find a list of businesses with this ratio.

Around ~1,900 companies attribute 90% or more of their turnover to exports in their latest financials. (Explore the data)

NB: Financial reporting does not specify which country the exports are going to but this still provides an excellent filter to find those most likely to be affected.

You can also blend this with all of our other data to dive into how this might affect the industry, region, personal collection, etc that matters to you.

We are making it easier to bridge the gap between your CRM and Beauhurst. In addition to syncing collections and enriching your whole CRM, you can now see if you have a matching CRM record on company pages and a link to take you directly to that record.

Introducing ✨ News Topics ✨, a new and real-time way of identifying key non-transaction events in a company's timeline.

Using a new ML model, we're reading and extracting key information from news articles and tagging them with our new Topic labels. Our first three Topics are:

• Key people change
• New product or service
• New property

Topics are also searchable in Advanced Search! You can discover and create Collections for new opportunities for when a company has been mentioned in the news for one of the above.

Discover key moments in a company's journey quicker than ever before, for example, identifying the appointment of a key person before it's officially filed and published on the platform via our traditional data flow under 'Person added'.

We’ve expanded our Signals, adding two brand new “exit” Signals and increasing our environmental Signal coverage by over 5k companies.

Exit signals 🚪

Our two new exit Signals, “Acquired” and “IPO”, cover over 13k companies and allow you to easily see and search for companies that have successfully exited.

• Acquired - use this Signal to find companies that have undergone a corporate acquisition or been bought out by a fund or business angel.
• IPO - use this Signal to discover companies that have listed on a stock exchange via an initial public offering.

Combined, these two Signals cover nearly every exit event for every company in our database, providing new insights into the most successful businesses.

Environmental expansion 🌳

We’ve also grown our environmental Signal coverage to over 45k companies, providing even more insight into the burgeoning green economy.

As part of this expansion, we’ve launched a new buzzword for “Carbon capture”, allowing you to hone in on even more granular areas of the net zero space.
