As you know, one huge perk of being a Momentum member is getting free access to the next Bootcamp! We just wanted to give you lots of time to plan ahead - for September!
BUT to evolve with the dance world re-opening and to make it more manageable, we’re making 2 big changes:
This means you can really take your time to review your Mental Game, absorb more of the content you might have rushed through before, try all the drills more mindfully, and finish with some solid partnership skills to bring into your social dancing!
Stay tuned for more info coming in August...
Do you want to improve your confidence, stability, and aesthetic when you get lower in your knees and rise up in your feet? Here you go:
Last week we sent new members an email inviting you to order your free Momentum t-shirt - be sure to look for it so you can get yours to inspire others and help other members identify you at events!
Enjoy!
Wow what a great workshop on Saturday with Coach Gabriel providing so much education and exercises for stabilizing the rotator cuff to beautifully compliment your Precision Steering for Turns! Thanks Gabriel!
Momentum members got free access to the live workshop as a membership perk and we posted the recording in the Conditioning training track before it was even sent out to the registrants.
We hope you enjoyed and don't forget to check it off in your PST theme!
Have you seen the new Guide in the FB group called Encouragement? Inside you will find multiple "fireside chats" with Tessa on a variety of topics that will give you a boost.
Our recommendation: Watch the 1 or 2 videos that feel most relevant to you now. Then set a recurring reminder for every 3-6 months (depending on your preferences) to come back and watch, or rewatch, the 1 or 2 videos that feel most relevant to you at that moment in time.
You can also find them on this new page we created just for "The Mental Game" training track: https://www.swingliteracy.com/momentum/the-mental-game
We'll be adding more regularly. Enjoy!
Your June theme of the month is in the training track you've been waiting for: Precision Steering for Turns in PARTNERSHIP SKILLS!
Bring your dance dragon for dragon training June 13: We'll be using the first 30 min of the call to do a tutorial on kissing and turning handholds so they can support you in your practice.
You can access this theme on the dashboard.
Check it out! A brand-new Westie Workout is waiting for you in the Recordings Library! This one is 100% in counterbalance, with lots of follow-along exercises to music designed to help you strengthen your core and maintain your pitch while coordinating leg movements and regulating your leash.!
Also check out a great new conditioning video Coach Gabriel made specifically to target your shoulders because this joint can be vulnerable while you are trying to anchor and stretch with partners who are not as "swing-literate". Look for this new video in the Conditioning training track.
We had an an awesome Orientation coaching call on Sunday that answered so many questions that you had about the themes and stages, practice pods, feedback, and starting your first theme, Effective Practice Habits! Be sure to watch the recording on the Coaching Calls page.
One major question (which we detail on the call) what about when to move on to other themes this month. Just to be really clear:
Effective Practice Habits is its own theme (in the Mental Game training track) that should not be combined with other themes. Be sure to complete EPH properly first for the next few weeks before charging ahead and tackling other themes, including this month's Anchor Shaping theme. In the meantime, take your time to get settled in and review drills you have been saving from the DDP.
