For those of you on Gimkit Pro, nothing will change. You'll still have full access to everything Gimkit has to offer.

 What’s changed with Gimkit Basic?

  • Player limit - no more than 5 players can join lives games
  • Assignment creation - no new assignments can be created
  • The Kit limit is gone - create as many Kits as you want
  • The edit limit is removed -  edit each of your Kits as many times as you’d like

Gimkit is now a Facebook-Free Business.

Gimkit is now a Facebook-Free business.

The actions that Facebook has taken have shown their lack of compassion, respect, and decency in the quest for profit. We cannot continue to use and partake in a platform that acts in such a way.

Ink - new from Gimkit - coming later this year

I'm not alone. Many other students feel the same. But it doesn't have to be this way.
Today, I'm excited to announce that we're working on something new. It's a writing tool for the classroom called Ink.

Most of the ways students experience writing in school exist for a reason. Whether it be efficiency or clearer expectations, they serve a purpose. But they also come with a cost. That cost is a student's love of writing fading away.

Ink is a fresh start. A different approach. The way writing in school should be.

I've written about 6 major problems with writing in school. Ink fixes all of them. Click here to give it a read.

Thanks so much for all your support!

Humans vs Zombies Is Back!

One of Gimkit's most loved modes is back for a limited time: Humans vs Zombies!

In Humans vs Zombies Mode, students are randomly split into two teams, Humans and Zombies! You can reshuffle the teams as many times as you'd like.

Each team starts off with 700 out of 700 health! 1.5 health is automatically decreased every second. The team that survives the longest wins!

Here's a blog post with more details: https://blog.gimkit.com/blog/eencw8smwo2xwei5jqtvh1ltrnbox2

Auto-Accept

We've added Auto-Accept for classes with student accounts!

Have this on, and you won't have to manually accept each student. As soon as a student visits your join link, they'll be added to the class!
