Thank you all for your hard work & support this school year!

Because of you, we reached some amazing milestones, including adding 2D assignments, building our most ambitious game mode (One Way Out), and releasing our biggest update ever (Gimkit Creative).

You can see everything we added this school year here!

We love working on Gimkit alongside you all and we’re already looking forward to next school year. Have a fantastic summer! 😎

Gimkit Creative!

The wait is over. Gimkit Creative is here!

What’s Gimkit Creative?

Unleash your creativity like never before with Gimkit Creative, which allows you to build your very own games within Gimkit! Construct maps, architect your own game modes, battle against students & friends, design unique creations, let your imagination run wild!

Gimkit Creative allows you to build your own maps collaboratively with others! Hop in with up to 60 other players (no Pro subscription required) and work together to design and play your own creations!

No Code, No Problem

With Gimkit Creative, you can build your own games, no coding knowledge required! Gimkit Creative’s editor is similar to working in PowerPoint/Google Slides. Instead of dragging different elements to build a presentation, you’ll drag in different elements to build a game!

More To Come

Gimkit Creative is new and exciting, but not final. It's currently in early access, which means there may be bugs or issues. We'll continue to add many new features and improvements based on your feedback!

Plus, behind the scenes, all of our 2D game modes have been built with Gimkit Creative! As we create new game modes ourselves & introduce new gameplay mechanics, Creative will get those updates too!

Get Started!

To get you started, there’s a short interactive tutorial you can play to learn the basics of Gimkit Creative. It takes about 10 minutes to complete. From there, you’ll be well on your way to designing & engineering your own maps, worlds, and game modes!

From your dashboard, click the “Gimkit Creative” tab to get started. We can't wait to see what you construct!

One Way Out -- new game mode!

One Way Out -- new game mode!

The only way we're getting through this...is together.

One Way Out is here, our newest game mode! This mode is our first-ever PvE (Player versus Environment) mode!

In this mode, students start on a spaceship that has unfortunately been taken over by evil plants!

Together, they'll have to traverse the spaceship, defeat the evil plant enemies, collect new gear, unlock gates, and avoid traps!

The only way to win is to get everybody off the ship. They'll need to strategize, communicate, and learn from their mistakes to make their way through the ship, fight back, and get everyone to safety.

It won't be easy, but we know you can do it. Take a deep breath, work together, and find the one way out.

Snowy Survival - new game mode!

Worlds collide, try to survive! Snowy Survival is here, our newest game mode!

In Snowy Survival, your goal is simple: survive as long as possible.

At the start of the game, one player is randomly cursed and given a Snowball Launcher to knockout other players. Everybody else must run and evade the curse. If they are knocked out, they become cursed too!

The game only ends when everyone is cursed!

As you play, you'll discover relics from other game modes. Something strange is happening, and there are secrets to uncover.

Best of luck to you in this strange new world!

Your Rules Update!

Your Rules Update!

We launched Snowbrawl in December and it allowed you to customize the number of snowballs earned per question. You all loved this feature as it allowed you to customize the balance between answering questions & gameplay.

Well, I've got some good news. We've brought this level of control over to every 2D game mode!

In Fishtopia, you can now customize the number of bait per question. In Tag: Domination, Capture The Flag, & Farmchain, you can now customize the energy granted per question. You'll find it in the game options when you go to host a game.

This gives you full control over the game balance in all 2D modes. Not enough progression? Give students more reward per question. Too much gameplay and not enough learning? Lower the reward per question.

Your game! Your rules!

I hope you and your students enjoy this new update! Let us know what you think!

Equation Editor! 🧮

Math teachers, we've been plotting something just for you!

You can now add equations in Gimkit. Select from hundreds of symbols to build math questions and answers in your kits.

Get ready to divide distance and time, too. Our equation editor has keyboard shortcuts so you can type in things like "pi" to quickly pull up the Pi symbol.

When it comes to math questions, there are now 11 things you can always count on. Your fingers and Gimkit!

Welcome To SNOWBRAWL

Welcome To SNOWBRAWL

Snowbrawl is here, our new battle-style 2D game mode.

With this mode, we’re introducing a brand new mechanic: combat! Students can now launch snowballs at each other! This changes everything for 2D modes.

Since there's a whole new mechanic in this mode, we kept the rest simple. Students run around a beautiful-but-perilous winter wonderland answering questions and trying to knock out other players. Oh, they’ll want to avoid getting pelted too!

Bundle up & have a blast! ❄️💥
