We're writing to share an essential update about our ScreenHub subscription model, commencing in August.

For any non-Cirrus LED displays you're operating (TV, laptops, etc.), a nominal monthly fee of $6.99 per display will apply to use our software. Please note that there will be no changes for those using our software on Cirrus LED displays; you will continue enjoying free access to ScreenHub as part of your existing display package.

This modification in our pricing strategy helps fuel our commitment to continually enhancing your user experience. The subscription revenue will facilitate critical software updates, new feature rollouts, specialized customer support, and expedited bug resolution. This initiative guarantees that ScreenHub remains at the forefront of meeting your evolving demands and surpassing your expectations.

We offer a 30-day grace period starting today to ensure a seamless transition. During this period, there will be no changes to your usage of our software on non-Cirrus displays.

Your display subscription is free with purchases, so no payment methods or billing information is required for your account in the meantime. In addition, if a member of your workspace has received an email notification about a free trial ending soon, your displays will not be affected. We’re pleased to announce that quality of life updates to the ScreenHub Player Application and Website are scheduled to go live in the early morning hours (2-3 AM) EST on September 27th. No action is required on your part to benefit from this automatic update and you should not experience any downtime. 

Updates to the Player Application Software (the application that runs on your physical signage:

• improvement Drastically reduces data usage on your display
• improvement Delivers faster media download times from the cloud to your display
• improvement Increased stability of your display through an update to the shared third-party libraries we use to build the player
• improvement Better update flow for this and any future player updates
• fix Images not appearing in the correct orientation for some customers

Updates to the Website:

• fix Thumbnail preview of playlists not always showing
• fix Font spacing on Weather Forecast Widget
• improvement New option to transfer ownership of your workspace to a different member of your workspace

We are very excited to introduce our two most requested features - Multi-User Collaboration and Project Workspaces! 

To add new team members to collaborate with you managing your displays, click on the User Settings menu and select "Workspace Management".

This will take you to the Workspace Members management tool, where you can invite new users, even if they don't have a ScreenHub account yet! 

You may have noticed some changes to the left hand navigation menu. Now our users will be able to create collaborative Workspaces for instances where different teams manage unique displays. 

Finally, we also have been working on fixing some bugs that will make your experience using ScreenHub easier:

• On the Display Page, your connection status now updates as soon as your player is connected
• In Account Settings we've resolved issues some users faced when updating their email addresses
• In the Slide Editor we fixed a bug in the background color selection pallet
• Improved the responsiveness in the Dashboard Page

Hi ScreenHub community,

It's a big week for us because we are releasing one of our biggest features yet in the next few days. This feature has been requested a lot, and it’s finally coming.

There will be more information to come leading up to the launch, so please watch this space and keep an eye on your inboxes!

Media File Tags

With Media File Tags, you can add labels to all of your media files - static images, gifs, and videos - and filter by tags. We suggest trying out tags for specific seasons or events, so that you can quickly pull up your relevant files when creating new slides in your playlists. You can add tags and search by tags in the "My Media" library (pictured above), and search by tags in the Playlist editor (below).

Dark Mode and Zoom

To make editing your slides easier on your eyes, we've added a Day Mode/Dark Mode toggle to the Playlist editor as well as a zoom out slider.

Pixel Fonts

For ScreenHub users with lower resolution LED displays, we've added in a new set of pixel-precise fonts. The characters in these new fonts line up exactly with the individual diodes of your LED display, drastically improving legibility. You access these new fonts in two ways, we've added them to the standard fonts list, and if you hover over the "Text" element button an option will appear to the right to drop in a text box with only pixel-precise fonts.

There is also a new grid overlay to assist you in aligning these new fonts down to the pixel. You can toggle off the grid overlay by clicking the grid button next to the Day Mode/Night Mode toggle.
