New Help Section and Playlist Tags

We have launched a new Help section providing detailed guides on using ScreenHub to create content and manage your display(s).

You can find the new Help section in the left-hand navigation menu.

We have also launched a new sorting and tagging system for your playlists.

On larger resolution computers, the playlist page now looks like this:

On smaller resolution computers, the playlist page now looks like this:

You can add new tags to existing Playlists by clicking the Settings button

You can search for Playlists with tags you have used with the Search by tag drop down menu on the top right.

Automatic Email Notifications

We have created a new email notification system to let you know if your sign is about to go dark due to not having a default playlist as well as no playlist scheduled to play.

If your sign will go dark, you will receive an email at 10 PM (based on your display's time zone) the night before letting you know.

If you do not wish to receive these notifications, navigate to your Account Settings, then click on the General tab, and deselect the checkbox next to your display(s).

Simplified Brightness Scheduling, Gradient Backgrounds, and more!

We've simplified the controls for setting the brightness of your display. You can now set your display to follow your location's sunrise and sunset cycle, and no longer need to update your display's brightness settings when the seasons change or for daylight savings time.

If you prefer to use our previous controls, simply click the checkbox to use the advanced brightness settings.

Add some contrast to your content with our new Gradient background color option:

Make shapes pop with the new Fill color opacity slider:

Update the default slide duration for all of the slides in a playlist at once. In the playlist library, click on the pencil icon next to "Default slide duration" to set a default length of time for the slides in that playlist to play.

Improved Scheduling

We have made some big changes to improve how you can schedule on your display!

You may have noticed the new look to our display page. It now includes an option to select a Default Playlist. If you have a single playlist you want to always be playing on your sign, setting a Default Playlist saves you the need to set that playlist as a scheduled event. If you do choose to use the schedule feature, the Default Playlist works as a fallback if you forget to schedule content to play - preventing your sign from going dark.

Example of selecting a default playlist:

We have also improved how you schedule your content to play. You can now schedule multiple playlists to play at the same time. Your sign will cycle through your scheduled playlists back-to-back-to-back. We’ve also added click-and-drag functionality to your scheduled playlists, so you can more easily move a scheduled playlist to a different time or day.

Please note, if you don't see these changes right away or receive an error message refreshing the page will resolve.

Server issues

Hi everyone,

There is currently a reported issue with images and videos being slow to download to the player application. Our team is currently looking into the problem.

Slides will fully download within 10-15 minutes after an update, so hang tight and we will fix it.

Two factor authentication and spacing

We have some exciting news to share with everyone.

We recently added two factor authentication for added account security! You can enroll in this added security measure by navigating to your profile in the top right corner of the page.

We also added some additional font sizes for users looking for smaller fonts!

Unfortunately, with the introduction of this new font option, it introduced some problems with the line spacing for some users.  We have released a patch to fix it, but it was not retroactive. To fix the spacing it will require the affected slides to be deleted and remade.

NOTE: Copying any elements from the deleted slides such as text, widgets, or the slide itself will carry the bug over to the new slide. Be sure to make the new slide from scratch.

We understand that this is not ideal, but it is the only way around the spacing issue at this time. We are continuing to look into it further and will update again once we have  more information to share.
