You Can Now Set Up Inspection Tasks For Rooms!

Hey there! We've got some exciting news to share with you! We've just launched a brand new feature in Resly PMS and the staff portal that will help you streamline your property operations.

With the Inspection tab in Resly PMS, you can create a to-do list for each room in your property. You can add descriptions, images, and more to make sure nothing gets missed. You can even change the order of tasks with a simple drag and drop!

We've also made it easy to assign default housekeepers and inspectors to each room. The default housekeeper/inspector can always view the housekeeping/inspection job in the staff portal, but can only start it if the job is not assigned to someone else and the room housekeeping status is clean.

To assign an inspection job, go to the Dashboard page and click on the Housekeeping tab. From there, you can easily assign pre-arrival checks to the inspector.

When the inspection is underway, your inspector can mark each task as done or leave it undone and add comments and images.

Inspectors can also view the inspection reports in the staff portal. This comes in handy if your inspector, let's say Kevin, finds an issue during an inspection. Kevin can check the last report made by Sarah to see if the issue was already reported.

Once the inspection is complete, you'll get a notification in Resly PMS. You can check the inspection history on the Rooms - Reports tab for each room or simply click the notification.

The Inspection tasks are also added to the housekeeping task in the staff portal. So your housekeepers can also easily mark tasks as done or undone and add comments. You can also view housekeeping reports from the Housekeeping Reports page or the room reports page in Resly PMS.

Now You Can Do Bulk Printing!

We have some exciting news to share with you! We have just added a bulk printing feature to Resly, making it super easy for you to print letters to multiple recipients. This feature is now available on several pages of our platform, including:

  • Dashboard: Arrivals, Departures, In-house, and New Bookings
  • Reservation List
  • Tenancy List
  • Accounts List

With the new bulk printing feature, you can now quickly print your email templates or write your own messages to multiple recipients.

To use this feature, simply go to the relevant page and select the bulk print option. Then, select the recipients and templates, and you're all set!

Calculate Extra Guest, Cleaning and Booking Fees in Resly

We are excited to announce a big change to fee calculation within Resly. 

For a lot of our holiday home group clients, cleaning and booking fees are separated from the accommodation total. This change will help a lot. 

For traditional resort clients, if cleaning and booking fees are paid by the owners, this may not be relevant so you can safely ignore this.

Set up cleaning/booking fees

Starting now, you will be able to set up different account codes, descriptions, and accounts for these fees under Settings / Room Types.


Fee calculation for direct bookings

When you create a new reservation, these fees will be calculated and added to the total cost, and can also be viewed as a breakdown table on the new reservation page.


Fee calculation for OTA bookings

Additionally, when reservations are dropped in from OTAs, the corresponding cleaning and booking fees for that room type will be automatically applied and can be found in the separated charge lines. 


Note that for channels like Booking.com, the total gross amount will be recorded and used to calculate agent rebates, which can also be adjusted manually. Just click the Accommodation line and make changes here if needed.


Resly Direct+: Guests Can Now Choose to See All Room Types and Listings

We are excited to announce a new feature for Resly Direct+: the ability for guests to view all room types and listings, even if they are not currently available.

This new feature allows guests to get a better understanding of the full range of options available at a property, and to plan their future stays with more flexibility. When searching for rooms, guests can now select the option to view all room types, rather than just those that are currently available.

We hope this new feature will make it easier for guests to find the perfect room for their needs, and we look forward to continuing to improve the Resly Direct+ experience for all of our customers.


Bonus: We also updated the starting page to prompt users to search for their stay instead of searching dates by default as sometimes the whole property may have no availability at all, which confuses the guests.

You Can Now Disable Children Options in Resly Direct+

We are excited to announce that the Resly Direct+ booking engine now has the ability to disable children options for adult-only resorts. This means that when booking a stay at an adult-only resort, customers will not be able to select children as part of their reservation.

This new feature is designed to ensure that adult-only resorts are able to maintain their atmosphere and cater to the preferences of their guests. We hope this update will enhance the booking experience for both customers and resorts.

To enable this, go to Resly Direct+ under General tab, Tick the Adults Only checkbox and your booking engine will be updated.

Automate, bulk send and reply with Premium SMS

📱️Introducing Premium SMS

Upgrading to premium SMS will allow you to bulk send & automate messages, as well as give you the option to receive SMS replies (2-way messaging).

This is a paid feature, which means SMS messages that are sent from your account will be charged and billed to you. 

With Premium SMS you can:

  • Send bulk SMS messages from the Dashboard Arrivals/Departures/In House/New Bookings, Reservation List, Tenancy List and Account List including owners. 
  • Automate SMS messages just like you can with email templates.
  • Send SMS messages of any length. 
  • Receive replies in Resly (will attach to the booking as well as alert via the bell icon). Requires an allocated number. 

Premium SMS is invoiced monthly on or around the 8th day of each month in AUD dollars. Example of the pricing below:

A dedicated Australian mobile number is required to receive SMS replies. Validated as spam‑free. $7.50 (USD) Per Number, Per Month.

If you would like to activate Premium SMS, please send an email to support@resly.com.au. Please advise us if you require 2-way messaging as we will need to allocate you a dedicated phone number. We can then send you a Premium SMS Addendum for signing.

Once we receive a signed addendum back, we will activate the premium SMS feature for your building.

Resly Direct + Bookable Months

Hey there!

We're excited to announce a new feature for RESLY DIRECT+

You can now set a specific number of bookable months, any dates past that will be blocked for sale!

By default, all properties are currently bookable for 12 months.
You can change this by going to - Resly Direct+ > General > Rates & Availability > Default Bookable Months.



When the guest has put in a date too far, they will get an alert message.
