WHY OUR UPGRADES HAVE BEEN DELAYED BY TWO WEEKS
We wanted to take a moment and thank you all for your patience over these past few weeks while we worked through a few issues that have caused delays in our normal weekly update schedule. As many of you know, our primary development team is located in Ukraine. A recent war-driven event there has impacted our development team, causing us to fall behind in our weekly updates. We do have secondary teams in Asia and the US. However, this has caused us to fall behind schedule for several weeks.

As of today, June 10th, 2024, we are now back to being 100%!



GET READY - THE UPDATES ARE COMING

  1. AXS QUEUE - IDENTITY SHEILD
    Some of you have reported problems with AXS queues and waiting rooms not properly separating your identity during on sale events.  This problem has been fixed and scheduled for release next week.

  2. DECISION MAKER BUG FIXES - CHROME SUPPORT
    Currently decision maker only works in classic mode and it does not work for all shopping carts. So we are fixing that bug and making sure it works for all browsers.

  3. PROVIDING PUBLIC API FOR ACCOUNTS & ZAPIER SUPPORT 
    We are going to be providing a public API for anyone who wishes to use it which will low ou to create and manage accounts automatically via APIs and any standard Zapier webhooks or REST api calls.

  4. AIR TABLE ACCOUNT SYNC, PLUS PRIVATE CARDS APP SYNC
    Do you keep accounts updated in air table then sync those accounts with Private Tabs.  Well we can save you some steps because you'll be able to automatically both AirTable and others

We're Experiencing Delays Setting Up New Account Imports

We wanted to let everyone know we're behind by a few days.
Our team always tries to take ownership when dropping the ball, and this past week, we had a huge uptick in new customers who needed accounts imported, and we needed to catch up. It usually only takes a day to import all your accounts, but in many cases, we are going on several days now because of a large uptick in sign-ups last week.  Rest assured, we are almost done importing new accounts; if your new setup is delayed because of this, please forgive us and know we appreciate your business.  The issue we are having is many new customers have signed up teams of 5 or more, which have to be manually set up as they are discounted.  This manual process slows us down by several days; this is what's going on with new sign-ups and why it's taking us a bit longer than normal to import your accounts.  

We plan to be 100% caught up with everyone TODAY!
Thank you again for your patience; Private Tabs has been killing the Qs and gaining raving fans who have helped us create a great product.  As we scale up, do not worry. We plan to keep our customer service growing just as fast as the features of our software!!

How to Override Security Settings and Open Private Tabs on Mac

If you have a Mac, when you first install Private Tabs, you will get a prompt like this, which will appear as not opening; this is normal.  If you have a MAC, you'll need to do the following.

PART 1 
- Push "Show in Finder" 

- Locate Private Tabs Launcher  in the "Apps" folder 

-  Right Click or Hold the "CMD" key down and click the icon Private Tabs. 

-  Private Tabs will bring up this box and this time it will say a "Open" above the box. 

-  Click "Open Anyway" and Private Tabs will automatically open. 

- Close Everything Down and re open again

Now Private Tabs should open without any warnings. 

PART 2 

To change which apps can open on your Mac or adjust your security settings:

  • Click the Apple menu, then select "System Preferences".
  • Choose "Security & Privacy" in the System Preferences window.
  • In the Security & Privacy settings, navigate to the "General" tab.
  • To make changes to your security settings, click the lock icon and enter your administrator password when prompted.

That's it!

Following these steps should resolve the issue, allowing you to open Private Tabs app without encountering security warnings.

Massive Chrome Engine Upgrade!


THIS WEEKS UPDATES INCLUDES:

1. Hotkeys and Legend: Introducing hotkeys for easier navigation.

MAC:

  • Ctrl + Tab or Option + Tab: Toggle between tabs in Classic Mode.

Windows:

  • Ctrl + PageUp or Ctrl + PageDown: Toggle between tabs in Classic Mode.
  • Ctrl + Tab: Change Tab
  • Ctrl + R: Reload Tab
  • Ctrl + W: Close Tab
  • Ctrl + L: Focus URL Bar
  • Ctrl + P: Save Website To PDF
  • Ctrl + F: Search Text In Page

2. 2FA Support: Gmail, Outlook, iMail, Hotmail, Yahoo mail, and custom domains via forwarding or DNS.

In the past, Private Tabs only supported 2FA to appear on the smart toolbar for Gmail email addresses. With this update, it will now support 2FA from other public email domains and can now support 2FA from custom domains via forwarding or adding DNS records.

3. Right-click: Launching the link using the same account or multiple accounts.

When right-clicking on a link, you now have the option to open the link on multiple tabs using the same account or open the link on multiple tabs using different accounts. You can even select the account/s you want to launch the link with and specify how many accounts you want to open the link with.

4. Shows on sale - Right-click copy and paste without authentication:

We fixed a bug where if you're logged into the Shows on Sale dashboard and try to copy the link and paste it into another session, it wouldn't work because it would force you to log in to Shows on Sale again.

5. Multiple monitor support for Flare dashboard:

We've added multiple monitor support for different dashboards, including the Flare system for Ticket Flipping, allowing you to break apart these controller dashboards into a separate window if you have multiple monitors or keep them on the same monitor.

6. Shortcut buttons for launching Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, Outlook, or email:

We now have shortcut buttons for launching emails that dynamically change based on what you have set up. If you create a Gmail account or a Hotmail account, the button will change to Gmail or Hotmail, making it easier to log in and stay logged in to that email session.

7. Tab Controller - refresh certain domains, shows, or venues:

The Tab controller has been updated. You can now refresh certain domains, shows, or venues. If you have multiple tabs open and need to refresh tabs associated with specific shows, this feature allows you to do so easily.

8. Pausing & muting music on AXS queues:

We've added the ability to pause and mute music on AXS queues.

9. New Error Detection for "Holding Down Button":

Private Tabs now detects and automatically bypasses prompts like "Hold this button down" and other nag screen prompts like "Do you want to accept cookies" or "Are you still there?", ensuring smoother operation.

10. Bug Fixes and Line Position Support for AXS and Ticketmaster queues:

We've fixed various bugs and added support for line positions in AXS and Ticketmaster queues.


CHROME MODE - REVAMP - Supports 150+ Tabs with hotkeys

The Chrome Mode Revamp is a game-changer for users managing more than 20 tabs. Previously, we recommended the Classic version because of these built-in extra features that are not available in the Chrome version, but performance would slow after 20 tabs. However, with the Chrome version, you can now open over a hundred tabs with improved memory management. This means smoother performance, even with intensive tasks like running AXS queues. With the revamp, Chrome now supports the below essential features.

  • Supports 150+ Tabs with hotkeys. Thanks to improved memory management, you can now open over a hundred tabs or even 200 tabs with the Chrome version if you have a fast PC.
  • Same 2FA support as the Classic version.

Open 100+ Tabs without Issue, Launch Same Account, Hot Keys and More!

We recently discovered a bug that caused performance issues when opening multiple tabs in Classic Mode with the tab monitor enabled. This bug affected users who attempted to open more than 15 tabs, resulting in degraded performance. This update now includes a fix for this problem and several requested features, including HotKeys, Sound Muting, the ability to Open the Same User Account, and many others based on YOUR feedback!

THIS WEEKS UPDATES INCLUDES: 

  1. Performance Fix: Resolved the issue causing performance problems when opening more than 15 tabs in Classic Mode with preview thumbnails enabled.
  2. Enhanced Tab Monitoring: Added venue, showtime, and account information to the preview box in the tab monitor, supporting ticket providers such as Ticketmaster, ASX, Etix, Live Nation, and Vivid Seats.
  3. Improved Navigation: Introduced hotkeys (Ctrl + Tab or Option + Tab on Mac) for toggling between tabs in Classic Mode.
  4. Tab Muting Feature: Enabled the ability to mute tabs to prevent disruptive autoplay videos and performance issues.
  5. Interface Enhancements: Shrank horizontal tab bars in Classic Mode to facilitate easy tab navigation without relying on the tab monitor.
  6. User Control Options: Enabled the option to choose between double-click and single-click tab closure to prevent accidental tab closures.
  7. Expanded Right-Click Support: Added support for right-clicking to open the same account, different accounts, multiple accounts, or the tab launcher.
  8. Focus Improvement: Ensured that focus remains on the list page instead of shifting to a new window, eliminating the need for constant toggling.

HOW TO TURN THE TAB PREVIEW BACK ON
By default this is now turned off because we noticed that if you open more than 20 tabs it slows down your machine.   However if you typically run under 20 tabs at once you can turn it back on by going into the settings (3 dots) , my account , scroll to bottom and you will see the checkbox there.  Just uncheck it and turn it back on. 

NEXT WEEKS SCHEDULED UPDATES BASED ON CUSTOMER FEEDBACK! 

  • Account Bulk Import Tool: This will allow you to import all your existing accounts vs creating new accounts using our account creator tool. 
  • Color-coded Tabs w/Tab Grouping: allow you to quickly group and sort tabs by color.


HOW TO UPGRADE TO THE LATEST VERSION 
You MUST upgrade to the latest version or Private Tabs may not work correctly! 

  • Private Tabs Launcher Update: Users can update their Private Tabs Launcher by clicking the yellow button under the credentials option.

  • Private Tabs Classic Version Update: For the Classic Version, users can click the live update button on the upper right portion of their toolbar within the Private Tabs application.

It is essential for users to update their Private Tabs to ensure optimal performance and take advantage of the latest enhancements.

Understanding Private Tabs Billing: A Guide for Customers

Immediate Full Charge: When a customer subscribes to Private Tabs, they are charged the full amount immediately, which covers the first month. This upfront payment ensures a commitment to the service and helps us maintain the integrity of our subscription model.

Prorated Billing for the next Month: Following the initial full charge, the billing cycle aligns with the first of each month. However, if a customer subscribes on a date other than the first of the month, they'll receive a prorated bill for the remaining days of that month until the first of the following month.

Example: Suppose a customer purchases Private Tabs on February 22nd, and the subscription fee is $499.

  • February 22nd: Customer purchases Private Tabs and is charged $499 on the same day.
  • March 22nd: Customer receives a prorated bill for the period from March 22nd to April 1st, covering the service rendered during this time.
  • April 1st: Customer will be charged the full amount of $499 for the upcoming month.
  • Subsequent Billing: From May 1st onwards, all billing cycles will consistently process on the 1st of each month.

Here are answers to some common questions about the billing process for Private Tabs subscriptions:

 Why was I charged the full amount immediately after subscribing to Private Tabs?

  • The immediate full charge ensures a commitment to the service and helps us maintain the integrity of our subscription model. It also confirms your serious interest in utilizing Private Tabs for enhanced browsing experiences.

Why did I receive a prorated bill in the second month after subscribing?

  • The prorated bill in the second month covers the portion of the month from the date of subscription until the first of the following month. This aligns your billing cycle with our standard monthly cycle, starting on the first of each month.

How is the prorated amount calculated?

  • The prorated amount is calculated based on the number of days between your subscription date and the first of the following month, divided by the total number of days in that month. This ensures that you're only charged for the days you've used the service in that initial month.

Will I be charged the full amount every month from now on?

  • Yes, starting from the second billing cycle onwards, you will be charged the full amount of the subscription fee on the first of each month. This ensures regularity and consistency in your billing cycle.
