The quarterly reporting schedule will be:

  • April to June – due July 8th
  • July to September – due October 8th
  • October to December – due January 8th
  • January to March – due April 8th

Upcoming

Loyalty as a payment type

On Thursday of this week, how loyalty is applied to POS carts will be changed from discounts to a payment type. Applying loyalty should no longer reduce taxes the customer needs to pay. Budtenders should be made aware of this change, and managers will need to know that loyalty redemption metrics will be found in the “payment type” reports instead of “discount” reports.

SMS outreach - Fixed an issue where when sending messages user would get ‘rate exceeded’.

Cannabinoids, Terpenes and Packaging Date with lot support

We have enhanced your product management experience! You can now add cannabinoid values, terpenes, and package dates to your products by lots or locations in your Greenline system to help arm your sales staff with deeper product knowledge to inform your customers. You will also notice a larger list of cannabinoids available to you.

How does it work?

The new features can be found under the “Cannabinoids” section of any Edit Product pages. You will see 3 new input fields: package date, cannabinoids, and terpenes. You will continue to be able to assign different values for each of your locations, and they will sync with your online menus.

These cannabinoids and terpenes can also be seen on the POS.

If you are lot-tracking, these values will now be assigned on a per-lot basis. This is a change from the previous per-location method, so you can contact our support team if you are experiencing challenges.

In the roadmap

This feature is not yet available from the purchase orders page. We are aware that this would be an extremely convenient location to input cannabinoid and package date information, so it is something we are looking to add sometime in 2023.

Delay in real time updates for parked sales and inventory [Fixed]

February 4 - 8:13am PST: The issue has been resolved. No data was lost and our team is continuing to monitor.

Bundled Discounts

Greenline is excited to announce new upcoming discounting functionality, bundled discounts!

We’ve repurposed how product cart discounts work. Now, users will see a new discount type “bundles” when creating a new discount. In additions, users will notice that the option of selecting specific products have been removed from overall cart discounts.

Creating a bundle is simple: select a set of products that you’d like to discount, then set the $ of % discount. The discount will be applied proportionately based on the price of each of the bundle items. Note that for this release, having multiple units of the same product in a bundle will not be supported.

How to use on the POS

There will be a new automatic POS category called “Bundled discounts”. Budtenders no longer need to memorize what items are in each bundle - they can simply tap into the “Bundled discounts” category, select the appropriate bundle, and see all the relevant products automatically added to the cart. This minimizes human error and greatly reduces the time budtenders may spend looking up individual products.

Bundled discounts are currently scheduled to release on Wednesday February 1st. Any existing product cart discounts you have will be automatically converted to a bundled discount. Once released, we encourage retailers to take their time to review discount setups and take advantage of the new functionality.

FAQ

  • If you do not see Bundles on Tablet POS
    • clients may need to close and re open app.
    • Bundle needs to exist with inventory. If one item has no inventory the Bundle will not be available.
  • We do not recommended adding multiple bundles to a cart if parking and un-parking orders.

Bugs

Printer/scanner connectivity improvements - Our POS team has been working hard on improving general connectivity on both our iOS and Android POS systems especially as it relates to barcode scanners connecting to the system via printers. Based on customer reports, we believe that we’ve made meaningful improvements - retailers should see a greatly reduced frequency in the printing signals and the scanning signals interfering with each other on the POS. As usual, we will continue to monitor our systems and make continuous improvements over time. Thank you for your patience.

Android POS - Fixed an issue where information was being displayed out of alignment.

Android POS - Fixed an issue where scanner connection failed due to ‘errorCode: 0’.

WebPOS - Fixed an issue where the cart discount modal displayed, ‘Show more/less’, for descriptions and nothing would happen.
