Product Tags

We have released our new Product Tags feature. Retailers are now able to create, edit, and remove customized tags from their products and retailers that are using Blaze ECOM can already see the tags on their menus.

We have also released our Strain Types functionality. Retailers can add and remove pre-defined strain types in their product details. Retailers using Blaze ECOM can also see the strain types on their menus.

Upcoming

Discounts redeemable with Loyalty balance

Starting on May 18th, retailers will be able to set up discounts to be redeemable in the POS using loyalty balance. Customers will be able to use their accrued points to redeem product, cart, and even bundle discounts on the POS.

Bugs

POS - Fixed an issue where retailers wouldn’t be able to enter the full amount of points for the loyalty payment option

Dashboard - Fixed an issue where the counted amount field for audits would default to 0 instead of being blank

POS - Fixed an issue where the loyalty payment option would not appear when doing a refund

Introducing: Product tags field

Just one day after releasing our strain types field, we're introducing the new product tags field!

Tags can be created/edited/removed when editing products under the new "Tags" tab. A product can have many tags, and removing the same tag from all products will remove the tag from the overall system.

The tags field can also be added to the product list by editing the shown table columns and filtered. The CSV export format has been updated to include it as well.

While the primary purpose of tags is to expand functionality with BLAZE ECOM by allowing you to create custom promotional categories and badges, they can be used to create alternative ways to categorize your products (tags are included in the CSV export).

In a few weeks, these fields will start populating in BLAZE ECOM. For retailers with early BLAZE ECOM access, we encourage you to start filling in the data ahead of time.

In the upcoming weeks, integrators will also be notified of this field change and start using the data via API. If you have questions about how the field will be used in digital signage or online menus, please contact your respective providers.

Introducing: Product strain type field

Greenline now supports a new "strain types" field! The entry field can be found when editing products under the "Details" tab alongside cannabis weight, net product weight, and cannabis volume.

The following strain types will be supported: Sativa, Sativa Dominant, Indica, Indica Dominant, Hybrid, CBD, and Balanced.

The strain type field can also be added to the product list by editing the shown table columns, and filtered. The CSV export format has been updated to include it as well.

In a few weeks, these fields will also start populating in BLAZE ECOM. For retailers with early BLAZE ECOM access, we encourage you to start filling in the data ahead of time.

In the upcoming weeks, integrators will be notified of this field change and start using the data via API. If you have questions about how the field will be used in digital signage or online menus, please contact your respective providers.

Product updates April 17th - April 30th

Bugs

Dashboard - Fixed an issue in the product bulk import where the THC/CBD min and max were not updating.

POS - Fixed an issue with refunds where after removing Loyalty transaction line, loyalty does not appear in the payment options.

Dashboard - Fixed an issue where penny adjustments were not matching across reports.

Loyalty Points Released!

Retailers can now use Greenline Loyalty using points as a unit as opposed to dollars. This is a step towards our system eventually supporting discounts that are redeemable for a fixed number of points.

What will happen to my existing customer loyalty balances?

Dollar balances have been automatically converted to points at a 1:100 ratio. For example, if a customer has $10, it will become 1000 points.

Where can I adjust how many points a dollar is worth?

On the Greenline dashboard > Loyalty page, there is a new section to define how many points is worth a dollar.

How can I update how many points my customers have?

Points can be bulk updated using the customer list CSV export/import tool. Existing points can be increased/decreased via spreadsheet formulas.

How does this affect the loyalty checkout flow?

The checkout experience is the same since the last loyalty as a payment method release, but there will be additional information displayed about customer point balances, in addition to their dollar conversions.

Does this affect my reports?

Reports are not affected. Loyalty balance redemptions can be seen in the payment types report.

Loyalty as a payment type

On Thursday of this week, how loyalty is applied to POS carts will be changed from discounts to a payment type. Applying loyalty should no longer reduce taxes the customer needs to pay. Budtenders should be made aware of this change, and managers will need to know that loyalty redemption metrics will be found in the “payment type” reports instead of “discount” reports.

Cannabinoids, Terpenes and Packaging Date with lot support

We have enhanced your product management experience! You can now add cannabinoid values, terpenes, and package dates to your products by lots or locations in your Greenline system to help arm your sales staff with deeper product knowledge to inform your customers. You will also notice a larger list of cannabinoids available to you.

How does it work?

The new features can be found under the “Cannabinoids” section of any Edit Product pages. You will see 3 new input fields: package date, cannabinoids, and terpenes. You will continue to be able to assign different values for each of your locations, and they will sync with your online menus.

These cannabinoids and terpenes can also be seen on the POS.

If you are lot-tracking, these values will now be assigned on a per-lot basis. This is a change from the previous per-location method, so you can contact our support team if you are experiencing challenges.

In the roadmap

This feature is not yet available from the purchase orders page. We are aware that this would be an extremely convenient location to input cannabinoid and package date information, so it is something we are looking to add sometime in 2023.
