Bug fixes

We're committed to consistently fixing bugs that you may experience.

  • Fixed a bug where gift card reloading reduced inventory in the system. Now it will only happen on initial activations.
  • Fixed a bug where some compliance reports could return more decimal values than expected.
  • Fixed a bug for compliance closing inventories for the province of Nunavut and Northwest Territories

In the works

  • Our team is working on a fix for the dashboard occasionally showing up as a blank screen (for now, solved by CTRL+F5 on PC or CMD+F5 on Mac).
  • Our team is still investigating certain iPad crashes users may experience. If you have further information about how/when it happens, please let our team know by leaving a comment below.
  • Our team is currently developing a payment-processor agnostic gift card solution for those who are either not satisfied with Datacandy's offerings or for those not using Merrco as a payment processor. We'll keep everyone updated as we near release.

Features

  • Viewing/editing a deleted variant will now link to the active parent product.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where products that haven't had any inventory changes in the past 3 months did not show the correct opening quantities in the provincial compliance reports and the inventory log summary reports.
  • Fixed an internal server error when searching for a product SKU with a special unicode character
  • Fixed an issue where toggling the tax settings for purchase order fees didn't update the taxes until saved. Now the correct taxes will show regardless of save status.
  • Fixed an issue where the sale list on iPad could potentially crash with a large volume of sales data loaded.

Issues we're aware of

  • Sometimes the dashboard doesn't load and shows up as a blank white screen. The current workaround is to press CTRL+F5 on PC or CMD+F5 on Mac to clear the cache and load the site again. We're investigating potential solutions.
  • Some iPads are experiencing crashes after a sale. From our investigations, it seems to happen when there are 2 printers connected at the same time. Our team will continue to investigate solutions and post updates.

Compliance opening inventory discrepancy issues

Our development team identified a recent issue with opening inventory calculations for compliance reports. This issue happened for a minority of cannabis products that have not had any inventory changes in the past 3 months.

If you noticed your opening and closing inventories not lining up, please try re-generating now.

Our fix went out Friday Jan 8 at 3:40pm PST.

✨ Call for ideas: Bundled discounts

The team at Greenline is looking to tackle bundled discounts, a highly requested feature. We understand bundled discounts means different things to different people..

Please give us an example of a bundled discount that makes the most sense to your business.

Potential examples:

- I want to sell any 2 of the 5 products for $50
- Buy any 2 products get 3 products for 50% off
- Specific products & quantities with set discount prices (1x kush, 2x oil)

The team at Greenline hopes that you and your loved ones had a safe and enjoyable holiday break. Our team is now back in full swing after taking much-needed time to rest and recover.

Released:

  • No new features were released over the holidays

Bugs:

  • Fixed performance issues around OCS sales report exports
  • Fixed a bug where tax groups were not split into individual taxes in the sales line item CSV exports
  • Fixed a bug where editing a purchase order allows users to go back to the view mode without saving, resulting in unclear total values
  • Fixed a bug where saving a purchase order shows a message referring to purchase orders as invoices

End of Month Cannabis Audits

Hello everyone, 

As the end of 2020 quickly approaches I would like to remind you all that closing the month with negative inventory values is the largest contributor to compliance reporting issues. 

To ensure that your compliance reporting goes smoothly, please remember to complete a full audit on all cannabis products before 11:59pm on December 31st. This audit will correct any inventory discrepancies and prepare you to submit an accurate compliance report to your provincial regulator. 

*If you've made manual changes to the closing inventory values of your November compliance report, please remember that you will need to make the corresponding adjustments to the opening inventory values for the month December.

For our final product update of 2020, we've continued our goal of improving system stability and crushing bugs for the holidays We thank everyone for their patience - our teams will be taking well-deserved breaks throughout the holidays and coming back recharged to deliver new and exciting value-add features starting 2021.

Our customer support team will continue to be available throughout statutory holidays:

  • 7am - 3pm PST
  • 10am - 6pm EST

to support new and existing stores through the busy season. Regular days will continue to have regular support hours.

    • Products can now be undeleted (see: active/inactive/deleted filter on the product list)

    • Discounts list supports horizontal scrolling for mobile screens

    • Images with broken URLs now show a placeholder image on the Dashboard and POS

    • Fixed an issue where the "Can edit inventory" permission allowed some edits in some multi-location stores
  • Customers
    • Fixed inconsistent customer pagination logic on the Dashboard and POS
    • Fixed an issue where exporting the customer list would only return 100 entries

Our priority for the end of 2020 is to focus on our system stability and squashing bugs in preparation for the holidays. We thank everyone for their patience, and we're excited to deliver new and exciting value-add features starting 2021.

Released:

  • Date filters for parked sales on the Dashboard + improved performance
  • Customer name/order ID filter parked sales on the POS to speed up searches

Bugs and improvements:

  • POS
    • Fixed sales date filter not being visible when iOS is in dark mode
  • Sales/parked sales
    • Partial order ID search re-enabled on the Dashboard
  • Products
    • Fixed a bug that resulted in stutter/lag when products are saved
    • Fixed inconsistent same-tab/new-tab behaviour
    • Dramatically improved the page load time when creating a new product
  • Audits
    • Closed lot numbers (lots audited to be 0) will no longer show up on the Inventory Overview page and Audits to simplify data entry
    • Audits can no longer be edited from multiple open tabs/computers once completed
    • Show clear saving indicators for each quantity input to cover spotty internet connections
  • Purchase orders
    • Dramatically improved the page load time when creating a new purchase order
  • Reports
    • Fixed a bug where the number of sales in the Financial overview report didn't account for multiple locations correctly
